🚨 In his October 1 review of the film NAZA, The Globe and Mail’s staff film editor Barry Hertz claimed that it showed how Israel “murdered” Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Making this obscene accusation for the second time in six weeks, relying on activist anti-Israel filmmakers, Hertz avoided any mention of how Israel achieved what experts say is among the lowest-ever proportions of civilian casualties in war, and instead unleashed what we consider an extended anti-Israel rant in The Globe and Mail.

🚨In the September 26 episode of the CBC radio program Just Asking – which has been the subject of multiple HonestReporting Canada alerts featuring the conduct of its host, Saroja Coelho – the program devoted an hour to discussing the United Nations.

Predictably, just like the real UN, Israel soon became a focal point, with accusations of “genocide” flying (with zero challenge by Coelho), and at one point, when a guest would not say that Israel’s leader was a war criminal, Coelho continued to press the point, conveniently omitting key details.

🚨 Herizons is a taxpayer-funded Winnipeg-based quarterly magazine claiming to present “feminist social commentary,” though it has a particular proclivity for publishing anti-Israel diatribes.

A recent column (among others) has spread the false “genocide” slur, and in July, the magazine’s editor proudly announced that it was joining an official boycott of Israel. Why is the Manitoba Arts Council funding an outlet that is openly embracing anti-Israel policies?

Canada in 2026 ⬇️

Chanting “Long live the intifada” on the anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist attacks has absolutely NOTHING to do with advocating for innocent Palestinians in Gaza.

The intifadas included su***de bombings, shootings and other terrorist attacks that deliberately targeted Israeli civilians.

And of all the days to glorify that history of violence, they chose the anniversary of the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

Our leaders must stop pretending they don't understand the message being conveyed.

We know exactly what they're chanting. And we know why the date matters.

Canada, once again in the international headlines for all the wrong reasons...

After HRC alerted the public about the ex-Puritan, a magazine that has received taxpayer funding and recently called for submissions in support of the Palestinian right to “armed resistance” against Israel, they have now published a poem by Bahar Orang that, in our eyes, suggested support for the October 7 attacks and praised Hamas paragliders for 'their triumphant descension' on Israel.

Yesterday, in The Globe and Mail’s crossword, on the anniversary of the Hamas terror attacks in Israel, someone decided it was an appropriate time to include “Palestine’s continent” in the puzzle.

While the Globe’s online version later changed the clue to “Similar (to),” publishing it in the first place, on the anniversary of the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust, was not only insensitive but unacceptable.

And quietly changing the clue does not excuse that decision. The Globe owes readers an explanation.
