Integrity means doing what is right, even when it isn't popular.

Huge respect to Spencer Pratt for recognizing the urgency of this moment and refusing to be silenced. Visibility is the first step toward justice. 🗣️💪

More clips from this past weekend’s celebration of 35 years of Somaliland’s independence with our incredible Somalilander, Taiwanese, and Canadian allies ❤️💚🤍💙🤍

“The Toronto event ultimately underscored the growing international support for Somaliland and the increasing visibility of its diplomatic efforts. It highlighted the role of diaspora communities in advancing the recognition agenda and strengthening global partnerships,” states a piece in the Somaliland Post covering the celebration.

“As Somaliland marks 35 years since reclaiming its independence, the message from Toronto was clear: international engagement is expanding, and the call for recognition continues to gain momentum.”

History made in Cyprus!🥊

Huge Mazel Tov and Mabrouk to Shuki Kenan on his massive victory!

As an Arab-Israeli athlete, Shuki is showing the world what it looks like to represent Israel with heart, soul, and world-class skill. This isn’t just a win in the cage, it’s a win for coexistence and the power of sport to bring us all together.✨🇮🇱

So proud to see the blue and white held high on the world stage. The journey is just beginning! 🚀👊

In anticipation of Somaliland's upcoming independence day May 18th, we are throwing it back to our most recent Common Voices podcast episode, when Allied Voices for Israel (AVI) Founder and Executive Director Daniel Koren sat down with Omer Kahin - a community leader and advocate for Somaliland - discussing the nation’s history, its recent recognition by Israel, and the potential for future cooperation.

Somaliland is situated along the Gulf of Aden, a critical maritime corridor through which approximately 25% of global trade passes. Its geographic location makes it a strategic partner for maritime security, combating piracy, and providing a logistical alternative to Djibouti for nations like the United States and Israel.

During the conversation, Kahin pointed out that Israel became the first country to formally recognize Somaliland on December 26, 2025. This move was met with significant enthusiasm and celebration within Somaliland and its diaspora. He stresses his hope that other nations, including the United States, United Arab Emirates, and Ethiopia, will follow suit.

“Recognizing Somaliland Could Help Shape a New Middle East” is available on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts! 🎙️

Flags were flown and bridges were built at a large and vibrant celebration marking the 35th anniversary of Somaliland’s National Day on May 18th.

The party brought together members of the Somaliland diaspora, international partners, and distinguished representatives and supporters from key partner nations, including Taiwan, Israel, and Canada.

Community Leader and Somaliland Advocate Omer Kahin, who appeared on our most recent episode of the Common Voices podcast, gave a speech reflecting on Somaliland’s history, post-war reconstruction, and the enduring need for international recognition.

A strong emphasis was placed on Somaliland’s pursuit of international recognition, its development progress, and its growing global partnerships ❤️💚.

"We need to understand Jewish people deal with the same amount of hate and similar hardships and hard times… I want to preach to the Black and Brown community that we need to uplift them and put our arms around them… Change your heart, put your arms around people, let’s all uplift each other." — Zach Banner

Allyship isn't about standing in front of someone, it’s about standing beside them. 🤝

Zach reminds us that the struggle against hate is universal. When we uplift the Jewish community, we aren’t just fighting anti-Jewish hatred; we’re fighting for a world where everyone belongs.

Let’s change our hearts and lead with empathy. 🕊️✨

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the brave, Jewish mothers who courageously advocate for Israel, devoting their lives not only to their own children, but the children of Am Yisrael.

These incredible women embody the traits of our foremothers, from whom originated the children of Israel 🇮🇱

Today we celebrate and express our deepest gratitude to Jewish mothers, as well as mothers of all backgrounds - the portals to creation, the fabric of our existence. Thank you for all that you do 💙

✨️"Truth and the Way / Tao"✨️

On Sunday, May 24th, Dr. Vera Schwarcz will lead a discussion with Dr. Elliott Malamet on Jewish moral thought and the ways it has been shaped through sustained, lived engagement with Chinese civilization. They will address how to stay grounded and truthful when the world feels confusing, polarized, or morally unstable, and how long-standing traditions help people decide how to live, not just what to think.

✨️"A Universe Made for Two: Genesis Through the Lens of Chinese Cosmology and Traditional Chinese Medicine"✨️

On Sunday, May 31st, Dr. Jack Daniel will draw from his book A Universe Made for Two, inviting a cross-cultural exploration of Genesis as a relational, dynamic act of creation, viewed through the complementary wisdom of Jewish tradition and ancient Chinese cosmology, with a particular focus on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

This session will highlight how the Genesis creation narrative resonates with the Chinese understanding of yin and yang, qi, balance, and the generative cycles of nature. Rather than static creation ex nihilo, both traditions describe a universe brought into being through polarity, differentiation, rhythm, and relationship.
