Last year, it got a little competitive… in the best possible way.

Our committee members Sabrina Perfetto and Julian Muzzi went head-to-head, creating their own teams — Dr. Sabrina Perfetto, ND vs. Julian’s Dream Team — and battled it out for participants, team members, and donations!

Because a little friendly competition can go a long way when there’s a meaningful cause behind it.

We’re excited to announce a special day of golf in support of CIBPA Place, generously donated by Peter & Paul’s Hospitality Group.

Join us on Wednesday, September 30 at Carrying Place Golf & Country Club for a day of golf, great food and community, all in support of York Region’s first residential respite dementia care centre.

⛳ $1,200 per foursome
🍴 Food and refreshments at every hole
🥂 Cocktail reception to follow
💚 All in support of CIBPA Place

What a night! Thank you to everyone who came out for our Cigar Night Fundraiser — a Strides for Seniors event, in support of , raising funds for — York Region’s first residential respite dementia care centre.

Thanks to your generosity, we raised $9,580 toward this important cause. A wonderful result, and a true reflection of what this community can accomplish together.

2026 STRIDES FOR SENIORS REGISTRATION IS LIVE! 🏃‍♀️

Registration is officially open for UniversalCare’s Strides for Seniors, taking place Saturday, October 3, 2026.

This year marks an important milestone. For the first time, we are coming together for Strides for Seniors with CIBPA Place officially open and serving our community.

What began as a shared vision is now a reality. CIBPA Place, York Region’s first residential respite dementia care centre, is providing families with access to short-term respite stays and 24/7 care for loved ones living with dementia.

Strides for Seniors helped make this possible.
Last year, more than 700 people joined us and together we raised over $2 million. This year, we are building on that momentum and continuing our commitment to seniors, caregivers and families across our community.

A beautiful day on the course for an even greater cause.

Thank you to the Woodbridge Soccer Club and for hosting a wonderful 2026 Golf Tournament in support of .

Together, the tournament raised $12,000 to support CIBPA Place, York Region’s first residential respite dementia care centre, helping provide much-needed support to individuals living with dementia and their families.

We are grateful to every golfer, sponsor, volunteer and supporter who helped make the day such a success.
