🌟York Region Educational Services (YRES) Recap! 🌟

💚On June 21st, we had the opportunity to go to the York Region Educational Services (YRES) Volunteer Convention and Appreciation Event hosted by .education!

✨ As part of this event, our Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, Srija Das (.das03 ), delivered a presentation to showcase our programming and impact to the community and our other Co-Founder and Co-Executive Director, Muhammad Ansar (.ansar12), was one of the recipients of the 2025 Junior & Youth Star Award!

It was amazing to hear from so many incredible organizations and we are grateful for the invitation. Congratulations to all of the other award recipients as well! 🙌

🌿 Invasive Plant Species Removal Recap! 🌿

On June 1st, we removed 13 garbage bags full of invasive plant species at Birkdale Ravine in partnership with Toronto Nature Stewards! Our lead stewards were able to educate all 19 participants on this topic and were able to equip volunteers with everything needed for a successful and impactful day.

💚 Thanks to all our amazing volunteers, we distributed a total of 76 volunteer hours! 🙌 In addition, many participants stated that they were able to apply the knowledge that they learned in their day to day life as they continue to protect the environment. 🌎✨

Let’s recognize eco-anxiety as real and advocate for mental health support and a healthier planet.
