There’s something about a Toastmasters International contest that brings out our best.
Recently, D60 Advanced Speakers held our Table Topics and Evaluation contests, and we’re proud to celebrate our winners!
Contests are a great way to accelerate your growth as a speaker. There’s a little more pressure, a little more adrenaline, and a strong desire to bring your very best on the day. That challenge stretches us, sharpens our skills, and gives us another opportunity to learn from one another.
That’s what D60 Advanced Speakers is all about.
Our club brings together Toastmasters who want to take their speaking to the next level. We challenge ourselves, support one another, and share a common goal: to honour the Toastmaster’s Promise by helping each other become better speakers in every communication situation.
Congratulations to our Table Topics (JANET HEIDKER) and Evaluation (CATHY DRANITSARIS) contest winners, and to everyone who stepped up to compete. Every contest takes courage, preparation, and a willingness to be challenged.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support our club and our contestants. It takes a lot of great people to bring together an event like this. Thanks to our Contest Chair Dawn Frail and our Chief Judge Orest Nahacziwec for guiding us through this incredible event.
And a special thanks to Rick Bartel of Applewood Achievers Toastmasters Club for being brave enough to be our test speaker for our expert evaluators. If you want great feedback on your speech, be a Test Speaker at an advanced club's evaluation contest!
If you’re a Toastmaster looking to enhance or supercharge your speaking development, we invite you to check out D60 Advanced Speakers. Come observe an advanced club in action and see if it might be the right next step for you.
