Following our Annual General Meeting in June, we’re pleased to share an update on our Board of Directors!

We extend our sincere thanks to Paul Roulston, who retired from the Board after more than 16 years of dedicated service. A passionate advocate for local healthcare, Paul most recently served as Co-Chair of the successful In Our Hands Capital Campaign. We are incredibly grateful for his leadership, commitment and many contributions to our Foundation and community.

We’re also pleased to welcome Fritz Steigmeier as Board Chair and Jane Feltz as Vice Chair, while Josef Frank moves into the role of Past Chair. Thank you, Josef, for your thoughtful leadership and continued dedication to our Foundation.

And a warm welcome to our newest Board members: David Murray, Shauna Richter and Dale Zorgdrager!

We look forward to sharing more about our Board Chair and newest members in the near future.

Valerie knows our hospital from many perspectives. She worked part-time as a nurse at the hospital for 20 years, also worked in a family physician’s office, and has experienced the hospital as a patient herself. She says the care she has received has always been absolutely wonderful.

With her healthcare background and experience, Valerie knows firsthand the difference community support can make and she likes that the 50/50 gives her a chance to win, too!

Behind every surgery, procedure and treatment is a team helping ensure medical equipment is safe, sterile and ready when it’s needed.

Thanks to donor support, the HPHA - Stratford General Hospital’s Medical Devices Reprocessing Department (MDRD) received a new Drying Cabinet and NOVA 8 software upgrade in the 2025-2026 fiscal year. These investments support patient safety, infection prevention and efficient care throughout the hospital.

It’s an important reminder that your generosity makes a difference in ways patients may never see. 💙

Jackie C. is our First August 50/50 Early Bird Winner, taking home $250 with ticket X-20119253!

After moving to Stratford from Waterloo just over a year ago, Jackie wanted to find meaningful ways to support her new community. Purchasing 50/50 tickets was one of them.
