Завтра пишемо Радіодиктант національної єдності! ✍️💙💛

Щороку в День української писемності та мови українці в Україні й по всьому світу в одну хвилину слухають той самий текст і пишуть його разом. Школярі, бабусі, військові на позиціях і ми тут, у Ньюфаундленді.

Цьогорічний текст називається «Лист, який не закінчується».

Tomorrow we’re writing the National Unity Radio Dictation! ✍️💙💛

Every year on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, Ukrainians at home and all over the world listen to the same text at the same moment and write it together. Students, grandmothers, soldiers on the front line, and us, here in Newfoundland.

This year’s text is called “A Letter That Never Ends.”

🎨 Today, we held our first creative workshop that brought different generations together!

Silver Hearts - Assistance Ukraine mentors, together with their grandchildren, as well as parents with their children, immersed themselves in the world of shared creativity. 🖌️

The children created wonderful paintings, and some even managed to make two! Everyone expressed their imagination, creativity, and individuality. But most importantly, it was the time spent together, the shared emotions, and the joy of creativity. ❤️

We sincerely hope that these gatherings will become a wonderful tradition that brings generations together, inspires them, and creates warm memories

Наставниці Silver Hearts - Assistance Ukraine разом зі своїми онуками, а також батьки зі своїми дітьми поринули у світ спільної творчості. 🖌️

Діти створили чудові картини, а дехто навіть встиг дві! Кожен проявив свою фантазію, креативність та індивідуальність. Але найголовніше — це час, проведений разом, спільні емоції та радість творчості. ❤️

Ми щиро сподіваємося, що такі зустрічі стануть доброю традицією, яка об’єднуватиме покоління, даруватиме натхнення та створюватиме теплі спогади .

Did you know our choir has an angel? 💛

Walsh believed in us before we believed in ourselves. Youth Choir and their whole team gave us a place to rehearse before we had sung a single note, and they still do. Was it a gamble? Maybe.

And now, on Saturday, November 28, Korali Ukrainian Choir in NL will give its very first public performance, on the same stage as Kellie’s award-winning Lady Cove!

Kellie, Shallaway, thank you for taking that chance on us and for being our musical home.

Welcome to the family, Yavir! 🎭

We’re thrilled to finally share this news: Yavir, the first Ukrainian theatre in St. John’s, is joining Assistance Ukraine!

For a long time now, Yavir has brought together people who truly live for theatre: they rehearse after long workdays, create costumes, learn lines at night and bring the Ukrainian word to life far from home. From now on, we’ll grow together.

And after all those rehearsals, Yavir is ready for its very first time on stage: the premiere of “A Suitcase of Memories” (Валіза спогадів), the first Ukrainian-language play in Newfoundland and Labrador!

Явір уже давно об'єднує людей, які живуть театром: вони репетирують після довгого робочого дня, створюють костюми, вчать ролі ночами і несуть українське слово далеко від дому. Відтепер ми зростатимемо разом.
