Sheep to Sock 2026 was a terrific event and thank ewe to our partners O'Brien Farm and Heritage NL.

It was so special to see the smiles on the children's faces as they cuddled and fed the lambs. A gentle, calming atmosphere settled over the lawn as children carefully petted the lambs, learned about sheep farming, and experienced firsthand the therapeutic peace these animals can bring.

Sheep to Sock took place on the eve of the 2026 Janeway Telethon, and we were proud to make a donation today on behalf of the Newfoundland and Labrador Sheep Producers Association. Supporting the Janeway is meaningful to all of us, as it is a place that has touched—or will touch—the lives of so many families across our province.

There is still time to donate and support this incredible cause. Together, we can help ensure the Janeway continues to provide exceptional care for children and families when they need it most.

The 3rd Annual “Sheep to Sock Textile Festival” with our friends at O’Brien Farm & Heritage NL!

Join us for a fibre-filled day with sheep shearing, lamb cuddling, crafting, spinning, weaving - all things fibre!

We will also have some great silent auction items and BBQ fundraising for SPANL. This has been wildly successful in past years, and it’s a great day out with the family.

SPANL Members - we need your help! There is lots to do and we need you to make this event successful. Message us for details on how you can volunteer & help grow our industry!

Amber Peterson & Peter Kozier are planning a trip to NL around May 11-20.

If you are interested in getting your sheep professionally shorn, please contact Matt Morry or David Hayes to get your names added to the list. Amber will then be in touch regarding pricing depending on your exact farm location.

Llama and Alpaca shearing available.

This year they will also be offering hoof trimming services.

Please let us know if this is something you will be availing of, speaking from experience it’s well worth the money!
