Eligible members can recieve up to a $500 rebate on a breeding ram of their choice. Deadline to apply is Dec 31 2026. We hope to hear from you!

What a wonderful year for the Sheep Producers Association of Newfoundland & Labrador at the 2026 Agricultural Expo! 🐑
This was, without a doubt, our best year yet. We were overwhelmed by the interest and conversations around both sheep meat and fibre, but what touched us most was the incredible journey of sharing our story — from the traditions and memories passed down by our seniors to the excitement of a new generation of young artisans discovering the possibilities of wool.
It was especially heartwarming to see the enthusiasm of young people like my little friend Adam, whose curiosity and passion remind us why keeping these traditions alive matters so much. ❤️
From our elders who carry the stories, to the young hands eager to create what comes next — the future of Newfoundland sheep and wool is something truly special.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a story, asked a question, or simply showed an interest in what we do. We’re proud to be part of this journey ❤️

Hosted by NL Young Farmers in collaboration with Sheep Producers of Newfoundland & Labrador , this free webinar is for anybody interested in sheep farming in Newfoundland and Labrador!

SPANL representatives Brenda Aylward (Aylwards Farm & Meat Shop), Howard Morry (Double Diamond Farm), and Matt Morry (Heritage Farm) will discuss SPANL's mission, the benefits of membership, and the current challenges and opportunities in the provincial sheep industry. A Q&A session will follow.

Sheep to Sock 2026 was a terrific event and thank ewe to our partners O'Brien Farm and Heritage NL.

It was so special to see the smiles on the children's faces as they cuddled and fed the lambs. A gentle, calming atmosphere settled over the lawn as children carefully petted the lambs, learned about sheep farming, and experienced firsthand the therapeutic peace these animals can bring.

Sheep to Sock took place on the eve of the 2026 Janeway Telethon, and we were proud to make a donation today on behalf of the Newfoundland and Labrador Sheep Producers Association. Supporting the Janeway is meaningful to all of us, as it is a place that has touched—or will touch—the lives of so many families across our province.

There is still time to donate and support this incredible cause. Together, we can help ensure the Janeway continues to provide exceptional care for children and families when they need it most.
