eing by designing various activities to engage them in a fruitful way Seniors, youth, women and kids to showcase their various literary talents Singing, Dance, Speech, discussion, debate and poetry recitation through various programs like “Neengalum Paadalam” (You can also sing), ‘Talent Show’ named “Kutti Devas” (kids dance and speech) , “Dance Life Dance”. Heritage programs like “New year” celebrations and “Thai Pongal Festival” celebration in January, Valentine’s Day in February, “Tamil New year” celebration in April, “Mother’s Day” in May, “Diwali - Festival of lights” celebration in October/ November and “Christmas” celebration in December are celebrated periodically every year. Recreation programs like talent competition for women entrepreneurs on Cake making and Face Make-up shows, Demonstration of Yoga, meditation by professionals whereby encouraging kids, youth, women and seniors to practice it virtually at their home. In addition, Social welfare services in times of pandemic like communicating through Zoom with different members of the community to ensure their health and well-being, delivering of food package to senior homes and distribution of food packages at the centre to Senior people, delivering the newspapers to Senior’s home upon their request. Also programs for Mental health “ Nijamum Nilalum” whereby Psychiatrists ,Doctors, Psychologists from Canadian Mental Health association enlighten the public on various aspects of Mental health , programs for interactions with Doctor “ Doctor Pesugiren” is also being telecasted to answer any general enquiries of the public mainly about Covid-19. “In the Community” people from different walks of life like small business men, women share their experiences during Covid-19 pandemic. Interviews of MPPs, Doctors, volunteers and Frontline workers were also telecasted in SCWAC YouTube channels. All these programs are also telecasted through Rogers and Bell TV channels 24/7 in association with Tamil Entertainment Television Telecast (TET), SCWAC YouTube channel and IP TVs service for maximum outreach. We actively engaged students through summer jobs in roles such as office administration, graphic designer - multimedia, interactive or new media, video recording, film editing. SCWA has taken pride in its ability to network and form alliances with various groups like Senthamarai Tamil Newspaper, Tamil Entertainment Television, Canadian Mental Health Association, Butterfly Event, Tamil Dance schools, volunteers, in the community, and to advocate for writers’ rights whenever the opportunity arise while providing support to professional artists, organizations arts education programs. SCWA has always been a believer in collaboration and the strength in numbers as it produces content via shows and workshops that cater to youth, seniors, women and children from addressing arising issues of mental health to encouraging embedded talents. The target population of our service are innumerable in thousands, including all seniors, kids, youth, and women. The benefits of this show are deemed to be are as following
- It would help break the stigma about mental illness and provide the feeling of togetherness
- It would disseminate basic information on early/self detection of mental illness
- It would provide Information on coping methods and importance to overcome the denials and take necessary actions as early as possible
- It would inform the community about the prevailing resources in the health system
- It would help community to learn about how to outreach and navigate the system
- It would help introduced with different support groups to share experiences

Interviews of Canadian politicians (Federal and provincial ontario ) Doctors, volunteers and Frontline workers were also telecasted in SCWAC YouTube channels. All these programs are also telecasted through Rogers and Bell TV channels 24/7 in association with Tamil Entertainment Television Telecast (TET), SCWAC YouTube channel TET FaceBook, TET youtube , and IP TVs service for maximum outreach. We also offer Canadian immigration programs where Immigration Consultants offer their advice on various details regarding documents, process regarding the various immigration processes benefical especially for the newcomers, students, husband and wife sponsorships, parents sponsorships etc.,
-Publishing a book by seniors, receiving articles from various senior writers and bringing it into one and publishing a book for our community. We want to bring our Tamil community together and with this media platform we certainly can. Enrolling into a grant can help us reach out to more people and create more contact.
