Sarnia Lambton Alliance against Hate The Sarnia Lambton Alliance against Hate (SLAH) provides support to victims of hate motivated acts.

We provide emotional support to individuals in the community when they have experienced a hate motivated act, advocate for justice, conduct referrals to additional community supports, provide education about hate motivated acts and facilitate community awareness projects.

July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate the strength, diversity, and achievements of people with disabilities.

Communities have embraced this month as a political, grassroots movement to elevate disability culture, advocate for equity, equality, and foster pride in identity. 

This month honours the history of the disability rights movement and seeks to raise awareness and promote understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by people with disabilities and highlighting the importance of visibility and support for all individuals in society.

We must recognize that, as a society, we have a responsibility to challenge ableism in our daily lives and within our communities. By doing so, we can create a more inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Despite the hot weather, the turnout at Sarnia’s Pride in the Park was impressive! 🏳️‍🌈

Jessica from Q***r Joy organized an incredible weekend that brought the community together. 🤩SLAH felt a deep sense of connection while engaging with the community, especially with our youth.

It’s important for community members to know that many service providers and agencies are available to support 2SLGBTQIA individuals.

🙌 Together, we can continue to make Sarnia-Lambton an inclusive and welcoming community for all.
