We are so grateful to our friends at the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 who will be holding a pet food drive to help support us and Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals this Thursday, at their Catch the Ace - now estimated to be 3.4 MILLION DOLLARS!
Thursdays food drive will support our community food bank here at the shelter, the animals in our care, the Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals, and also other rescue groups who have reached out to Julie or myself (Donna).

Thank you to Sarnia Legion Branch 62, our very supportive community and all those who work and support all animal welfare organizations.
A huge Round-of-a-Paws to TJ's Furniture & Home Decor for the donation of their cube truck to assist with transportation of donated items.
All donated food will be brought to the Sarnia Humane society for ease of organizing and pick up for everyone.

🐾 Calling All Animal Lovers! 🐾

As many of you know, we, along with Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals , are this week's Catch the Ace donation recipients. With another very busy Thursday ahead of us downtown, we are looking for volunteers to help collect and load donations throughout the day.

Catch the Ace is proudly brought to you by Sarnia Legion Branch 62 ,and we are excited to be part of another fantastic community event.

We are looking for volunteers for this all-day adventure! Help will be needed from approximately 7:30–8:00 am until around 8:00 p.m. Any amount of time you can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

🐾🐾 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 🐾🐾

“Animals don’t have a voice in this world, but we do.”

Today, Sarnia City Council voted in favour of our request for “First Right of Refusal” regarding the newly deemed surplus lands, adjacent to our current location.
THANK YOU for the overwhelming support of our community members, partners, sponsors, volunteers, fosters, and donors, across Lambton County and beyond!
Updates as to next steps will be posted as we move thru these next few weeks.
There is a light at the end of this tunnel …

🐾 SPREAD THE WORD 🐾

This Thursday during Catch The Ace we will be collecting items to support the animals in our care, foster program, and re-plenish our Community Pet Pantry located at their shelter. Donations will also be shared with our fur-rends at Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals whose dedication and hard work with feral and vulnerable felines is invaluable to our Lambton County community.

Volunteers from the Humane Society and Petrolia Ferals will walk through the lines, and collect your donations. TJ's Furniture & Home Decor are also generously letting us use their cube van to fill with donations!

What to bring for a donation:
Kitten and Cat food - dry and canned
Kitten Formula - powdered if possible
Puppy and Dog food - dry and canned
Treats and toys for all
Leashes and collars are also greatly appreciated!

A HUGE Thank You goes out to Sarnia Legion Branch 62 for thinking of our furry friends!

We have received an overwhelming amount of messages and calls regarding todays Sarnia City Council meeting.
It will held today at 1pm at City Hall.
Sarnia News Today (sorry we are not allowed to share the link due to media rules) has posted a survey under an article about todays meeting - please support us in our bid to provide a better sanctuary for the many animals who come into our care.

Today’s Sarnia City Council meeting is today at 1pm.
Sarnia News Today (sarnianewstoday.ca) has posted a survey in their website under the Humane Society article which speaks to our need to expand. (Due to media bans, we cannot post the link)
