At Rayjon, our work has always been rooted in the voices of the communities we partner with. In Haiti and the Dominican Republic, local leaders don’t just participate in development, they lead it.

They understand the realities, the needs, and the solutions. Our role is to resource and amplify what they are already building.

Together, we focus on:
🌿 Empowering women through microcredit, life skills, and community-led initiatives like FEFEH’s breadfruit program
🩺 Health, including nutrition programs, preschool support, and mobile clinics in underserved communities
📚 Education from early childhood programs to tuition support and community schools
👓 Vision care, through our Eyeglass Program, reaching thousands across Latin America and the Caribbean

For 40 years, community voices have guided every step and they continue to shape the future of Rayjon.

We’re looking forward to our next From the Field webinar as we continue celebrating Rayjon’s 40th anniversary.

Join us next week on Wednesday, June 10, from 12:00–1:30 PM for a special conversation reflecting on Rayjon’s journey: where we began, how far we’ve come, and what the future holds for our organization.

Long-time Rayjon members will share stories, experiences, and reflections from the past four decades of partnership and community development. There will also be plenty of opportunities for you to participate, ask questions, share memories, and add your voice to the conversation.

Partnership is at the heart of Rayjon’s story.

For nearly 40 years, we’ve worked alongside communities in Haiti and the Dominican Republic supporting locally led initiatives in education, healthcare, human rights, and community development.

From the mountains of St. Marc in Haiti to the communities of Consuelo, in the Dominican Republic these partnerships have grown from small beginnings into powerful, community-driven change.

Today, we celebrate our local partners: Rayjon Share Care Haiti (Haiti), Centre for Nutrition and Education for Women and Children - C-New-C (Haiti), PLADESCULBA (DR), (DR) and Puente Desarrollo Internacional (DR). Thank you for your leadership, resilience, and the incredible impact you continue to make.
