We've been asking what you think the next Mayor & City Council should prioritize. Now, we want you to think a little bigger.
Imagine Sarnia 10 years from now.

What do you hope has changed? What do you hope we've built, improved or made possible? What would make Sarnia an even better place to live, work, play and grow?

Maybe it's more places to gather. Safer ways to get around. More housing choices. Better parks and public spaces. More things to do. More opportunities to build a life here. Or maybe it's something completely different.

That's why we're creating our Community Wishing Wall, a place for residents to share their hopes and ideas for Sarnia's future. You'll find it popping up at community events over the coming months.

What are we voting for on October 26? 🗳️

Sarnia's municipal election is about more than choosing a Mayor and City Council. It's about choosing the people who will help make decisions that shape our city for the next four years.

Many of the things we experience every day are influenced by decisions made at the municipal level, including how our city grows, how we get around, the parks and public spaces we enjoy, the infrastructure we rely on and how we invest in Sarnia's future.

That's why understanding what happens at the municipal level is an important part of making an informed vote.

Over the next few months, we'll be exploring some of these local issues, asking residents what matters to them and sharing what we hear.

We had a blast at Kids Funfest this past Saturday! ☀️🎨

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the nuSarnia booth to get creative, share their ideas and help us imagine an even brighter future for Sarnia.

Together, we:

🎨 Added plenty of colour to a new community bench
💭 Filled our Community Wishing Wall with ideas for Sarnia’s future
🗳️ Heard what families think the next City Council should focus on

We loved seeing so many kids and families get involved, and we can’t wait to find the perfect home for this very colourful new bench!

Municipal elections shape the places we live every day, from our parks and trails to our neighbourhoods, streets, and public spaces.

Over the next few months, nuSarnia will be launching a series of community conversations to better understand what matters most to residents and to help inform the municipal election conversation.

Here's what you can expect:
• Community polls to gather your priorities
• Resident interviews highlighting local perspectives
• Mayoral and councillor questionnaires focused on community issues
• Opportunities to hear directly from candidates about their vision for Sarnia

Our role is not to endorse candidates or political parties. We are committed to remaining completely non-partisan and providing a fair, balanced platform that helps residents make informed decisions.

This election, we're helping ensure community voices are part of the conversation because building a better Sarnia starts with listening.

Interested in helping make this campaign happen? We're looking for volunteers to support our community conversations and events throughout the election season. Whether you can lend a hand at a community booth, help facilitate conversations, or assist with other outreach activities, we'd love to have you involved.
