News notice from City of Saint John for this week on Germain Street. See the post for more information

Traffic Advisory: Germain Street

The City of Saint John would like to advise the public of the following traffic interruption that on Monday, October 26 on Germain Street.

Businesses will remain open while the work is being completed.

Street: Germain Street
Specific area: Near 77 Germain Street
Date: October 26, 2026
Duration: Five (5) days
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Direction: Northbound
Action: Water servicing work is scheduled on Germain Street. To maintain traffic flow, vehicles will be directed toward the parking lane on the right side of the street as they pass through the work area. The road will remain open, and drivers are encouraged to proceed with caution and follow all signage and traffic control personnel.
Description of work: Infrastructure installation/upgrades

Road signage and sidewalk directional signage will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive with caution and be aware of pedestrians and workers.

📣 New Uptown Neighbour- Cafe Apothecary is a new business member of the Uptown Saint John BIA!
Owners Tristan Sheard and Travis Lundy have opened their doors at 10 Germain Street, just up from the Saint John City Market. Stop in for handcrafted coffee and tea (the Banana Bread Latte is delicious!), treats, locally made goods, and an apothecary side featuring botanical and skincare products.
