PALS - Partners Assisting Local Schools Partnering to Provide a Bright Future for the Young People of New Brunswick

PALS (Partners Assisting Local Schools) is a program that creates and facilitates beneficial partnerships between a school and local businesses, service agencies and community groups. PALS combines initiatives that focus on academic achievement, student enrichment and a positive school environment. By working together, the school and its partners make a positive impact on the life of a child and the future of the community.

Glen Falls students explored the Saint John Harbour through an NBCC partnership.

Thanks to Matt from Envision Saint John, Nicola from Port Saint John, and the Atlantic Towing team for a local lesson on aquatics and tides at the Tidal Steps, a walk through the Area 506, followed by a water display.

Best of luck and adventures to the winners competing in Ohio.

Good Luck to Violet Carr, 9, and Seth Burley, 10, who are competing this week at the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio.

These two local APEGNB Saint John Soap Box Derby champs are representing Fundy Shores School, Dipper Harbour, Westfield School, Town of Grand Bay-Westfield, City of Saint John, New Brunswick, their car sponsors and Canada and this International Soap Box Derby Championship.

Thank you to all the sponsors, partners, schools, volunteers and community who make the Annual APEGNB Saint John Soap Box Derby race possible.
