Tides of Light
Last Monday, I was invited to be part of the Atlantic Canada Showcase 2025, an evening in Saint John where creativity, community met in vibrant ways at the 506 Waterfront Container Village.
For my activation, the Light Graffiti painting, participants chose one of ten reflective questions at random. They paused, reflected, and responded with a single word a thought written in neon onto the canvasl. Their words became waves of light and colour, a living reflection of the night’s shared energy.
Here in our region, we live beside something truly majestic — the Bay of Fundy, home to some of the highest tides in the world. In Saint John, the water rises and falls by more than eight metres each day, powerful enough to make the Saint John River reverse its flow at the Reversing Falls. This natural rhythm of movement and transformation mirrors the essence of creativity itself always shifting, always returning with new energy.
Thank you, Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agencyi for inviting me to bring Tides of Light into this luminous space where art, reflection, and nature’s force come together.
