What a fun night!
I feel so much gratitude for everyone who came by to say hi, to see my paintings, and to share a moment with me. During Uptown Sparkles there was so much to do and so much to see, and you still made the time to come and visit me — that means so much.
Thank you for your support. I’m happy to share that some paintings even found a new home! Thank you so much Industrial Parks Collective for the beautiful space.

Thank you so much to Alyson Townsend, MLA for Rothesay and New Brunswick’s Minister of Labour, for inviting me to share our new community art project.
I spoke about the creative process and how young artists see our community today and in the future.
It’s been amazing to see over 100 youth already bringing their imagination and energy to this project, shaping the place we all call home.

Fabiola Martínez

“Coming from Mexico, I’ve had the unique opportunity to connect my two home countries through my artwork. The multicultural environment in New Brunswick is a vibrant source of inspiration, offering open-minded views that encourage personal and artistic growth. The stunning natural beauty of the Maritimes—the haze, the ocean, the changing seasons—constantly inspires me and pushes me to step out of my comfort zone, fueling my creativity and drive to keep moving forward.”

Tides of Light

Last Monday, I was invited to be part of the Atlantic Canada Showcase 2025, an evening in Saint John where creativity, community met in vibrant ways at the 506 Waterfront Container Village.
For my activation, the Light Graffiti painting, participants chose one of ten reflective questions at random. They paused, reflected, and responded with a single word a thought written in neon onto the canvasl. Their words became waves of light and colour, a living reflection of the night’s shared energy.
Here in our region, we live beside something truly majestic — the Bay of Fundy, home to some of the highest tides in the world. In Saint John, the water rises and falls by more than eight metres each day, powerful enough to make the Saint John River reverse its flow at the Reversing Falls. This natural rhythm of movement and transformation mirrors the essence of creativity itself always shifting, always returning with new energy.
Thank you, Envision Saint John: The Regional Growth Agencyi for inviting me to bring Tides of Light into this luminous space where art, reflection, and nature’s force come together.
