Best in the Region !!!!!!!!!!!

This is a huge accomplishment for Daylon and for the Bricklaying trade. Daylon achieved the highest overall score out of every Saskatchewan competitor. This is an accomplishment no Bricklayer from across Canada has ever achieved before.

Congratulations, Daylon. The Union is extremely proud of your hard work and accomplishments.

We want to wish local apprentice Daylon Schrader the best of luck at the Skills Canada Competition in Toronto, May 27–30.

Daylon has been putting in a lot of hard work over the last two months training for this event whenever he could find free time away from the long hours he has been working during the current Co-op shutdown.

Daylon is an outstanding apprentice, and we expect great things from him. Most importantly, we hope he has fun and enjoys the experience. We know he will do an amazing job representing our Local and the province of Saskatchewan at the Skills Canada Competition.

Good luck, Daylon!

Every year on April 28, we recognize the National Day of Mourning to remember the workers who have lost their lives, been injured, or made ill because of their work.

This day is about taking a moment to reflect on the reality of our industry and the risks that come with it. It’s also about recommitting to doing things the right way—making safety a priority on every job, every day.

We remember those we’ve lost—and we keep pushing to make sure everyone makes it home.
