We had some adorable little volunteers helping us out today!!

They were out in Fort Qu'Appelle with their mom (aka our rockstar Homeowner Services Coordinator, Priti) helping us share information on our available home in the community.

The cost of housing is no longer contained within a monthly payment: the full cost of housing is what people give up to keep a roof over their head.

In fact, 66% of Canadians report they made at least one financial sacrifice in the past year to afford housing costs. More than one-third (36%) spent less on food or groceries, 25% used savings or emergency funds, and 40% cut back on social activities.

Access to affordable housing - especially affordable homeownership - has never been more important.

We were thrilled and grateful to be a small part of Qualico's Ride for 75 🚴🏼‍♂️

On September 5th, 6 cyclists from Qualico departed Calgary to begin their 1500km journey across the prairies in support of Habitat for Humanity.

We welcomed them at the halfway point on Sept 7 after they biked from Swift Current to Regina in the POURING rain. Not even a rain storm was stopping this dedicated group.

This morning they left for Brandon, MB as they continue their trek to Winnipeg! Good luck on the rest of your journey and fingers crossed you reach your goal of $500,000!!

If you would like to support their fundraising efforts, you can donate here: https://my.habitatsouthernab.ca/qualico-ride-for-75
