🍂🍁 Fall is here, and as much as I love the beautiful colours and cozy feeling of autumn, I sure do miss seeing the gardens in full bloom! 🌸🌻🌷

I wanted to share some of the beautiful pictures I was lucky enough to capture at Eastview Community Gardens throughout this year. 💚🌿

There’s just something so special about seeing all the flowers, colours, and hard work that go into making these gardens so beautiful. Until next growing season, here’s a little look back at the beauty of summer! 🌼

Ok folks we need your help. In the last two days we have had to kick out over 20 individual kids from the park. Our staff was just there 5 mins ago kicking out a whole crew of kids we know well because they are or were kids in our programs.

We don’t want to start naming names on social media but please can you all keep your kids off the park for at least the next week and a half. We have the last two pieces of equipment getting installed on Sunday and then some ground work happening Monday. If one child gets in there before the final inspections and hurts themselves that could postpone the opening until 2027.

We are pleading for each of you to tell your kids why they have to stay off it.

Hello Eastview,

We know that the park looks like it’s ready to be played on but it IS NOT. We still have hazards to be addressed and final inspections to take place. We were informed today that a local resident had to kick three kids out of the park.

We went down to check on the fence and it had been tampered with and the kids had opened up three separate entrances into the park.

We cannot ask kindly and sternly enough that nothing can happen to the park for now. The curing is taking place and the last pieces of equipment will be installed this Sunday. All final work and installs will be done next week.

Inspections will be shortly after and then we get to tear down the fence and have everyone enjoy this wonderful addition to our community. Give us 10 more days and I promise everyone will get to step on it.

Let’s keep each other accountable…

Today was the asphalt day. This is one of two final steps that will complete the work and make our park is accessible from the sidewalk surrounding the site.

With the addition of this path persons with mobility issues of all ages will have an easier access to the park.

Stay patient as we are so very close to having a completed park. We now need to let things cure and some final inspections from the city but we will keep you informed. Please again stay off the site and stop anyone from accessing the site until the fences come down.

Big reveal.

Hello everyone! Well we are proud to show you the final rubber design and build for our Eastview Park.

We are so proud of the final look and cannot wait to have everyone enjoy the park. We have two more projects to complete while the rubber cures. Next you will see the asphalt company show up to add in the full asphalt pathway from the city sidewalk to the park to make it fully accessible.

We ask you all to remain patient and keep the kiddos away. A reminder that no one is to access the park while the fence is still up.

Enjoy…
