#43 RCSCC Impregnable is a youth program for ages 12 through 18. These youth have the opportunity to participate in various training and skill building activities within a nautical environment. Things like Sailing, Seamanship, Ropework, Marksmanship, Biathlon, just to name a few. There is also a focus on personal development with training being offered in Leadership, Citizenship, Critical Thinking, Self-discipline, Self-confidence, and Mutual Respect. All values and skills that can be carried with a person for their entire lives. Cadets also have the opportunity to travel all over Canada and even internationally when attending summer camps or exchanges. There are even times when the cadets get to display their skills at public events such as parades, game days, Remembrance Day and other such ceremonial events. Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their community. They learn valuable skills that are transferable in life and work such as decision making, being able to take the initiative, and teamwork. Cadets make valuable contributions to Canadian society by their community involvement and volunteerism. Through the cadet program you can receive various local, provincial, or national awards and honours. The older cadets can even use their cadet attendance and skills to apply for post secondary education scholarships. As you can see the possibilities are endless. If you have any questions or require further information you can email us at [email protected] or give us a call at 1(306) 510-1034.

Cadets from 43 RCSCC Impregnable had a great time at Nautical Day learning about hull styles, parts of a boat, and basic boating safety. They then put their skills to the test in a fun boat-building competition, with winners in four categories—see each photo for details. The Coxn and Trg CPO were great sports, joining in the fun and helping build team spirit and esprit de corps.

And of course, no Sea Cadet activity would be complete without knot tying!

This weekend, while our Sea Cadet Corps was attending an activity, we received the heartbreaking news of the accident that resulted in the loss of a cadet and injuries to others.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of a young life that was part of the cadet community, and our thoughts are also with those who were injured and are recovering.

Our hearts go out to the cadet’s family, friends, fellow cadets, and the staff who are supporting them through this incredibly difficult time.

The cadet program builds strong bonds, and when one part of our community hurts, we all feel it. We stand together as a cadet community and send our deepest condolences.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that officials and emergency services have confirmed the passing of a cadet following the tragic bus accident that occurred yesterday in Sainte‑Rose‑de‑Watford, Quebec, transporting members of the Cadet Program to an activity.

Our hearts are with the cadet’s family, friends, and with all members of the cadet community who are mourning this deeply felt loss. We extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.

Out of respect for the grieving family and all those affected, no further details will be shared at this time.

For those who feel moved to do so, we invite you to take a quiet moment of personal reflection in honour of those impacted. Thank you for your compassion, care, and understanding.
