#43 RCSCC Impregnable is a youth program for ages 12 through 18. These youth have the opportunity to participate in various training and skill building activities within a nautical environment. Things like Sailing, Seamanship, Ropework, Marksmanship, Biathlon, just to name a few. There is also a focus on personal development with training being offered in Leadership, Citizenship, Critical Thinking, Self-discipline, Self-confidence, and Mutual Respect. All values and skills that can be carried with a person for their entire lives. Cadets also have the opportunity to travel all over Canada and even internationally when attending summer camps or exchanges. There are even times when the cadets get to display their skills at public events such as parades, game days, Remembrance Day and other such ceremonial events. Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their community. They learn valuable skills that are transferable in life and work such as decision making, being able to take the initiative, and teamwork. Cadets make valuable contributions to Canadian society by their community involvement and volunteerism. Through the cadet program you can receive various local, provincial, or national awards and honours. The older cadets can even use their cadet attendance and skills to apply for post secondary education scholarships. As you can see the possibilities are endless.
