July 27th & 28th: Wanuskewin + Saskatoon Trip 🏕️💫

We were fortunate enough to take our YETI students on an overnight trip to Wanuskewin in Saskatoon!

Wanuskewin allowed us to walk on paths and receive education on First Nations culture within the area. We were also able to sleep in tipis and visit the art galleries within the main building.

In addition to camping, we were also able to visit the Saskatoon Forestry Farm and tour the University of Saskatchewan.

Big thanks to SaskTel , Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority , Enbridge and Affinity CU for sponsoring this year's program and making this trip possible ❤️

July 3rd: Tamra Keepness Barbecue 🍽✨

Our 2026 YETI students were tasked with serving food, helping set up the area, and spreading awareness at the annual Tamra Keepness BBQ. It was great to see everyone working hard and bringing community together!

Hello all!
Apologies for the delayed announcement, but this year's Youth Employment Training Initiative (YETI) program has had a fantastic first month.

We were extremely fortunate to have received sponsorships from SaskTel, Enbridge, Affinity CU, and Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority - thanks to their generous partnerships with YETI, we've been able to cover costs of cultural activity, job training and other valuable assets of our program.

Please look forward to some of our posts highlighting what the YETI participants have done thus far!

This program offers so much to youth as they transition to adulthood with paid positions that provide work related training, cultural experiences and a work placement.
