Getting our booth ready for the Fibre Arts Festival & Sale this Saturday, April 11 at the Wellness Centre in Peterborough. The blank black section will feature the Peterborough debut of our Colour Play Project which was a winner for group projects when it was shown at the EAC seminar in Calgary.

Our first regular meeting of the year is scheduled for Wednesday, September 17 in Henderson Hall at Westdale United Church on Sherbrooke Street, from 9:30 am to noon. Guests are welcome to attend up to two of our meetings before deciding whether to join. We also have at least one workshop each year that is open to non-members. I need to get a better picture with the pieces lined up a little better, but was excited to finally be able to show our Colour Play project. Its debut exhibit was at the EAC-ACB seminar in Calgary last week, where it was awarded third place in the group projects category. Each of our guild members who participated was given a 6x6 canvas and one of six colour ranges from a CMYK colour wheel, and challenged to use any techniques, any materials, and any design to create their piece. We had the initial reveal to our guild in April, and as always we were impressed with the multiple ways we express our artistry.
