CALL BEFORE YOU DIG!

Damaging underground infrastructure is extremely dangerous. Hitting wires, pipes or cables can cause serious injuries and carry hefty financial consequences.

If you are a commercial business or private resident, you must contact Ontario One Call to get any buried telecommunication cables, gas or water pipes, and telephone wires located so you can dig safely.

🌱 Homeowner Hint: Grass Is Best Over a Leaching Bed

Keep your leaching bed covered with grass or shallow-rooted plants. Trees, shrubs, and gardens with deep roots can damage septic pipes and interfere with system performance.

Homeowner Hint: Fix Leaks Quickly

🚰A dripping faucet or running toilet can send hundreds of extra litres of water into your septic system every day.

Reducing unnecessary water use helps your system work more efficiently and last longer.

🍔🍺 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Burgers & Beers hosted by Onsite Septic Solutions!

With around 40 attendees, it was a fantastic afternoon of catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, sharing industry stories, and enjoying some great food and drinks.

We also discussed the excess soils regulations (Reg. 406/19), got a hands-on look at a Guelph permeameter demonstration and some of us even checked out Brandt's new iDig system in action on a mini excavator.

It's always great to see our industry come together in a relaxed setting to connect, learn, and have some fun. Thanks again to for hosting such a great event, and to everyone who made the trip out.

See you at the next one! 👏

Homeowner Hint — Keep Runoff Away From Your System
Spring rain can overload a septic system if water is directed toward the tank or leaching bed.

Protect your system by:

Redirecting roof downspouts away from the bed

Ensuring patios + driveways don’t drain toward the system

Checking that access lids aren’t sitting in pooled water

Keeping excess water out helps your system treat wastewater properly.
