Community Housing Initiative Perth (CHIP) is a partnership of citizens and organizations building a transformative affordable housing project in Perth.

The 15-unit building at 63 Halton St will provide long awaited homes for families who need it most.

We’re more than halfway there and determined to close the gap! With $156,625 raised and $143,375 to go, we’re closer than ever to bringing 15 local families and seniors home to 63 Halton Street.

Here’s a quick snapshot of the project! We are in the home stretch on a modern, 15-unit affordable apartment complex designed to provide safe, independent, and dignified housing for our neighbours.

From zero-step entries to thoughtfully planned spaces, every detail of this build has been designed with our neighbours' futures in mind, creating a welcoming, accessible community for seniors, individuals, and small families alike.

The momentum is building as we get closer to the finish line, but there is still plenty of work to do.

Thanks to your incredible support, we are 52% of the way to providing exactly that for 15 local households. We still have a $143,375 gap to close to finish the build, but looking at the progress at 63 Halton Street and knowing the community behind it gives us every reason to be optimistic.

Look at 63 Halton Street today, and you’ll see incredible, tangible progress. We are officially in the home stretch! Thanks to an outpouring of grassroots generosity, we have already reached 52% of our fundraising goal, raising a phenomenal $156,625!

But these walls represent so much more than numbers. Behind every piece of siding, every window, and every accessible doorway is a massive team of people pouring their hearts into this build:

We want to extend a massive thank you to their team for their hard work and expertise in bringing this building to life right before our eyes.

We are incredibly thankful for the grassroots support, local energy, and generosity that have brought 63 Halton Street to this exact moment. Looking at this building in the autumn sun, it's amazing to see how far we've come together.
