On July 22 at the CFUW FCFDU - Canadian Federation of University Women AGM in Montreal , club president Judy Haddad accepted the first place award for our International Women’s Day event from Niki Carlan, member of the International Relations Committee. Held in March, 2026, a dedicated group of members worked with Zonta Club of Kanata-Stittsville to show the NFB film “The Nest” which was followed by a discussion on the challenges facing immigrant women in the Ottawa valley. The profits were donated to Lanark County Interval House in our continued commitment to helping women dealing with intimate partner violence. Thank you to Alanna S, Alice L, Cindylee S, Shelley R and Judith A (from Zonta), plus 12 club volunteers from CFUW.

It took an incredible team of 12 CFUW Perth & District members to prepare and serve our very popular lunch during the 2026 Home & Garden Tour! They spent months trial-baking and cooking to come up with the perfect blend of nutritious sandwiches, salads and delicious desserts to serve. Thank you to Kathy W, Linda C, Sue S, Sue B, Hiya, Lois P, Penny S, Cathy McP, Sheila S, Teri B, Ruth A, and Gayle. They arrived early and left late to rave reviews! Thank you 🥰

Exciting news, paddlers! We are keen to launch a new, outdoor group .... The CFUW "Tuesday Trippers" and
are welcoming other CFUW Perth and District members to join. Are you interested in paddling, (a kayak or canoe) exploring local waters, meeting others and making friends?
This group will share leadership by rotating turns at choosing a meeting point and paddling spot. Each paddler is invited to pack a picnic lunch and, to those who enjoy dips, dress for swimming. Let's get out on the water and make a splash! Interested? Open to CFUW members only. Contact Shelley Ball or Joyce Buckley
