To mark Food Bank Day on April 28 and to support our local Food Banks the Rotary Club made a donation to both the Table and the Lanark Highlands Food Pantry.

Saturday morning the Perth Stingrays held their Swimarathon in person in support of the Rotary club of Perth’s Polio Plus campaign. The club raised just over $4,600 which will be matched by the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation 2 to 1. This means that more than $14,000 will be donated. At 60 cents per dose this means that 23,000 children will be immunized.

To the People of Perth and surrounding areas,

The search is on by all people of goodwill around the world to find ways to help Ukraine in its hour of great need!! In response, the Outreach Ministry of St James Anglican Church is inviting the people of Perth to unite together to create a large collection of medical supplies which will be shipped to Poland/Hungary/Ukraine to help displaced Ukrainians.

At the end of this email is a list of suggested donations, which can be dropped off at

1. Perth Mews Pharmacy - beside Barnabe’s Grocery
2. PharmaSave - 57 Foster Street
3. Gather Restaurant - 40 Gore Street East
4. The home of:
Liana Gallant/George Willett - 6 John Street

These supplies need to be on their way to Europe as soon as possible, so the closing date for the collection will be April 8, 2022.

We know that every donation, no matter how small or large, will be very deeply appreciated by someone, far across the many miles between our homelands

Swimarathon 2022 in support of the Rotary Polio Plus Campaign is on again!

Polio. Poliomyelitis (polio) is a crippling and potentially fatal disease that yearly threatens 1000’s of children in several world countries and Potentially KIDS in Canada *Mainly affects CHILDREN under 5 *Vaccine-preventable disease * Costs 60 cents per dose/child Donate $20. Save 100 KIDS!

The Stingrays Swim Club will be holding their event on Saturday March 26th at 7:45 a.m. at the pool. The young people of the club will be contacting people in the community to encourage
your support.

All donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt. Please include your name and full address. Cheques are to be made payable to The Rotary Club of Perth (memo: Polio Plus Campaign).
