Penticton Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts We're a not-for profit school offering music lessons to students of all ages and abilities.

Not everyone can access this type of education and we need your help. Please consider donating: https://www.pentictonacademyofmusic.ca/donate-sponsor-volunteer We currently have 17 qualified faculty members teaching a variety of instruments and classes:

•We ensure quality teaching: potential faculty go through an interview and selection process before joining the Academy, as well as a criminal re

cord check.
•We ensure choice: we recruit music teachers to the area based on need. For example, some of our teachers commute from the Central Okanagan to the Academy. We can attract these teachers because we provide teaching space and pianos.
•We offer group classes – an important element of music education. As an organization with many teachers and students, we can more easily offer group lessons. For example, many of our Suzuki violin groups have students who take classes from different teachers.
•We provide accountability: we manage the payment and registration process on behalf of students and teachers.
•We make music accessible through a bursary program and instrument loans.
•We offer enriching opportunities for students, including monthly recitals, workshops, summer school, and special events.
