Join us to hear Dr. Chandra's inspiring story. She will be presenting via Zoom.
For the past 15 years, Dr. Chandra has been working in Haiti to build and expand access to eye care for people living in poverty and remote communities.
Her goal is to help end disparities in eye care around the world by bringing essential services to people who might otherwise have little or no access to them.
In Haiti, Dr. Chandra is leading efforts to create lasting change. She has helped establish a permanent eye clinic in Fond-des-Blancs, providing eye care to local residents while also training members of the community.
She is also working with other institutions in Haiti through mobile eye clinics, helping meet immediate needs in remote areas. At the same time, she is helping develop the Haitian ophthalmology residency program in Port-au-Prince, with the goal of providing advanced training as well as access to the equipment and supplies needed to deliver high-quality eye care.
Her vision is simple but powerful: to help ensure that ALL Haitians have access to quality eye care.
