Dear Friends and Clients of Encore Fashions,

We are delighted to share some exciting news!

We are so pleased to be returning this September with a new venture:

Boutique Encore Fashions.
Opening Day: Wednesday, September 9, 2026


Boutique Encore Fashion’s hours will remain the same, and you will receive a warm and friendly reception from a member of our Team Boutique Encore Fashions when you arrive.

Boutique Encore Fashions Hours will be:
Wednesdays and Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Fourth Avenue Baptist Church will continue as the home of our boutique. We will occupy a smaller space than you are used to. Our inventory will be more carefully curated and will feature:

Consignment-quality clothing for women and men

Accessories and jewellery

Quality home décor items

We also wish you to know that we will continue…

to operate as a charity

to foster our valued partnership with Boutique Cornerstone and Cornerstone Housing for Women

to retain and maintain our email address, our website Encorefashions.ca, as well as our page the same as always

to use the same outdoor signs for the new boutique

We are deeply grateful for the many kind and heartfelt messages we received, both in person and by email after our last correspondence. Thanks to your encouragement and support, we are excited to move forward in a new and refreshed way. This new venture will operate on a trial basis. We will review and evaluate this new format in early December 2026. At that time, we will determine whether continuing into 2027 will be possible.

We look forward to your continued support of this new initiative for our charity.

April showers may bring May flowers but Encore has the flowers now. Many spring and summer florals are in store as well as sweaters and outerwear for those cooler days.

The recent snowy, icy weather plus a building heating failure caused us to close several Wednesdays.

Spring clothing is in the shop and in our storage waiting to be priced. Our stylist Loretta put these looks together that reflect the wintery days this week.

Encore Fashions,



As of June 2026, our charity shop, Encore Fashions, will be closing. Many of our volunteers are retiring this year. Others are moving on to different endeavours.

Thanks to this community's generous and enthusiastic support since opening our doors in September 2012, Encore Fashions is CELEBRATING.



You have enabled us to donate to over 65 different charities, most of them local. You have embraced “the sustainable through re-using or re-purposing” thrift shop philosophy. You have made Encore Fashions a place to gather and meet friends. Your faces have become the faces of friends. We have celebrated with you the quality items that brought your smiles and joy. We have enjoyed helping you find the perfect outfit and accessory. We have given with gratitude to those needing our help.



To celebrate our final season we ask that you continue to shop and to visit Encore Fashions. We have a wealth of beautiful items just waiting for you.



Our last day of business will be Saturday May 23, 2026, the day of the Great Glebe Garage Sale. As is our tradition, all remaining clothing items will be $1.00.
