Did you know that 2026 marks 800 years since the passing of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of ecology? Join the Montreal community of faith for an ecumenical service celebrating the first day of the Season of Creation with prayer, music, thanksgiving, as well as learning around local environmental issues and ways to take action! The celebration begins on September 1st at 7pm at Saint-François d’Assise church at 700 rue Georges-Bizet. Weather-permitting, part of the service will take place on the shores of the St. Lawrence, following gathering at the church. Fellowship and light refreshments to follow! For more information, contact [email protected] or send us a DM.

📞 Got a minute? Make a "Call for Climate!" 🗣️ This is the 's Lenten effort to faithfully phone federal cabinet ministers to ask for a fast from fossil fuel funding! In 2024, Canada spent $29.6 billion taxpayer dollars on fossil fuel subsidies, supporting an industry that is already highly profitable and driving the climate crisis. When people from across the country take the time to phone a cabinet minister or send an email, the chorus of voices becomes palpable, and change becomes imminent. Have your voice heard now and call or email for an end to these subsidies! To make it easy, use the calling script or email template on our webpage, which has everything you need to know.
