We need a strong and clear plan to tackle the housing crisis in Canada.
The recommendations being made by the National Right to Housing Network outline some great ideas for what that could look like, including expanding the stock of community housing, and delivering a Urban, Rural and Northern Indigenous Housing Strategy.

❗Canada's right-to-housing law is clear: the National Housing Strategy must prioritize people in greatest housing need.
This includes:
- People with disabilities
- Indigenous communities
- Black and racialized communities
- Women and gender-diverse people
- And other marginalized communities experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness
🏠 Canada's current National Housing Strategy was never updated to follow the federal government's own commitments to uphold housing as a fundamental human right.
Now is the time to change course.
