Community Development Coordinator, Bobbi Hebron, was honoured to deliver funding today on behalf of Rivers West District and Sask Sport through the Indigenous Community Sport Development Grant Program to Moosomin First Nation.
The funding will support the community's softball and golf programs and help foster participation and growth in sport and recreation.

Thanks to Rivers West and Sask Sport for the funding for much needed sports equipment. We will be starting our softball club this Saturday and Golf club next Tuesday. Txt kelly to sign up. We will be offering rides.

Rivers West District would like to congratulate and thank Megan Sweet, recipient of the 2026 Outstanding Fitness Leader Community Champion Award.
This award recognizes Megan's meaningful contribution of time, energy, and passion to sport, culture, and recreation, and celebrates the positive impact she has made within a community in our District. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to enhancing the lives of others are truly appreciated and deserving of this recognition.

Saskatchewan Wrestling’s Grassroots Team is eager to collaborate with educators across the province to grow the sport of wrestling. To do this, we offer "Learn to Wrestle" clinics directly in schools and local communities.

No prior experience is necessary—our qualified coaches lead all sessions, demonstrate key skills, and guide students through fun, safe, and engaging activities (such as taking over gym classes for a day or two!).

We are currently gathering contact information from interested schools and community groups for both last-minute bookings this spring and early bookings for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. Our ultimate goal is to keep these visits accessible, affordable, and easy for your schools.

How to Sign Up: If you or a school in your district would like to bring a Demo Day to your students, please complete our short interest form here: Learn to Wrestle Sign Up. Once submitted, our team will follow up to confirm potential dates, discuss travel logistics, and review any associated details.
