Volunteers are what keep this community moving. 👏

National Volunteer Week is a chance to recognize the people behind the scenes. Across Saskatchewan, volunteers give their time to support clubs and maintain trails. Their work brings people together and keeps the season going.

Today we’re recognizing the individuals nominated through the 2025/2026 SSA Recognition Program. These names reflect the people who have been put forward by their clubs and communities.

Each nomination represents time spent maintaining trails, supporting local clubs and helping riders enjoy the season safely. It speaks to the kind of commitment that keeps snowmobiling strong across the province.

Unfortunately our rally has been cancelled due to early melting! The north trails are still in good shape.

We hope to see you all at our 1st annual vintage ride! It will be February 28th and will start at the Willow Heights hall. All riders are welcome! Hot dog lunch will be at our new Maude’s House Shelter. Please note that all snowmobiles must be plated! Registration fee is $20. Wear your vintage suits!

A huge congratulations to the Battlefords Trail Breakers Snowmobile Club for their grand opening of the new Hamlin Shelter! Mayor Kelli Hawtin and Town of Battleford Mayor Ames Leslie & Councillor Kevin Russell were part of the delegation that rode out to the shelter yesterday. Thank you to Sask Snow for joining!

We had a very successful Grand Opening of our Hamlin Grain Elevator Shelter today. The Mayor of North Battleford, Kelli Hawtin, and the Mayor of Battleford, Ames Leslie, were in attendance as well as one of the councillors from Battleford, Kevin Russell. We also had John Popoff, a member of the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association in attendance. We received a very generous donation from the Battlefords Hotel Association which was presented by Darin Manegre to the club. Thanks again to all the volunteers that make events like this possible and everyone who was there.
