Housing instability can happen faster than most people realize.

Register for our FREE online Housing Navigator Training series in November to learn how older adults become at risk of homelessness and what supports can help them stay safely housed.

The first session on November 5, will feature the Credit Counselling Society of BC on the topic of money and mental health. You won't want to miss it.

Imagine living in the same home for years, only to be told you have to leave.

For vulnerable seniors, an eviction can turn life upside down overnight. The stress, uncertainty, and fear of becoming homeless can have devastating impacts on health and well-being.

SSSBC helps seniors facing housing loss access housing navigation, resources, and support when they need it most. A housing crisis doesn't have to become homelessness.

Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

Nothing beats sharing a great meal with great company.
This week, we’re grateful for the wonderful community spirit on display at our annual Thanksgiving social meal, held October 15 at River’s Reach Pub in Uptown New Westminster. 32 senior clients of ours enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving lunch, along with plenty of laughter, conversation, and connection.
We are especially grateful to:
• the amazing team at River’s Reach Pub for their ongoing generosity and commitment to creating such a welcoming experience year after year.
• Two former senior clients Rosa and Carey who volunteered to serve as social hosts.
• Roberto for driving seniors with mobility challenges to the lunch on our bus.

For many older adults, social isolation can be a significant challenge. Sharing a table, making new friends, and reconnecting with others helps build a sense of belonging and community that supports overall wellbeing.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special, including BCNDP candidate Whiteside for attending. Together, we’re creating opportunities for seniors to stay connected, engaged, and supported.
