Yesterday, The members of Snap Photo Squad explored some back streets and out of the way corners of New Westminster. We think that they caught some very emblematic shots of the architectural variety and atmosphere of some of New West's oldest neighbourhoods. New Westminster is a very diverse city, with many opportunities for great photo subjects. Look at these. https://www.colourcollective.ca/ https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/

Artist Sangeeta Rekhi, has really stepped up this year and her work has risen to a new level. Sangeeta is a passionate painter and her specialty is winter landscapes. Sangeeta has produced so many stunning paintings over her many years here, but this year is really special. As well, she has been working on a series of pottery pieces, an homage to Canadian painter Maude Lewis. Have look at these phenomenal works, destined for The Inclusion Art Show next week. https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/ http://www.potteryworks.ca/

Yikes!! Our last Colour Collective studio day before next weeks Inclusion Art Show, and our studio is overwhelmed with paintings, photo giclee's and bins of pottery. It's a mad dash to get everything completed for the most important show of our year. We're touching up, glazing and adding those last minute touch ups that elevate a painting to the next level. We're so excited about our submission for this years show, we think some of our best work is on show there next week. Plan to attend. https://www.colourcollective.ca/ https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/

You can't imagine how crazy our studio is, in these last several days before the opening of The Inclusion Art Show. There's a never ending number of last minute tasks and things to organize. It's stressful but exciting, even though it's our 21st time doing this. Here's a trip down memory lane, of our many collaborative posters with the show, featuring our PotteryWorks artists along with artists from Alternative Studio. Have a look. https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/ http://www.potteryworks.ca/

More gorgeous works came out of our glaze kilns today. Sangeeta Rekhi's Schooner platter, part of her Maude Lewis series, is just a masterpiece. Kaori Gokita has started development of a new landscape with trees glaze design, and Linda Raudonus is still producing her elegant abstract design. James Lash is developing his house designs that are looking promising. Check it all out. http://www.communitylivngsociety.ca/ http://www.potteryworks.ca/

Yesterday, Snap Photo Squad visited Coquitlam's Mundy Park. A very large park with wonderful trails and lakes, the Squad found some very interesting subjects for photography. The beautiful fall weather helped to make it a special experience, but most of all was this wonderful nature space in the middle of suburban Coquitlam. https://www.colourcollective.ca/ https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/

Just in time for the Inclusion Art Show, yesterday the Colour Collective painters finished or made significant progress on paintings destined for the show. Sangeeta Rekhi is almost finished her latest, very beautiful winter scene. James Lash is almost there with his latest seascape and Dan Tell has completed his Group of Seven inspired East Coast landscape. Bradley Merritt is on the home stretch for his latest painting of a Whale Shark, and Jesse Fields is thrilled with his latest work. https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/ https://colourcollective.ca/

Snap Photo Squad went to Burnaby's Deer Lake Park, on a sunny fall day last week. Anyone who knows this park, will know about it's beauty and diversity of subjects for photography. The Squad weren't disappointed and they captured some amazing shots of the atmosphere of nature, beside a bustling area of Burnaby. Have a look at these shots ! https://www.colourcollective.ca/ https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/

We're hoping that your Thanksgiving was wonderful. We have lots to be thankful for especially after unloading our glaze kilns this morning. Kaori Gokita's new pear design is simply gorgeous and Linda Raudonus new abstract design is so elegant. Sangeeta Rekhi's Maude Lewis inspired works are just jaw dropping, so great. Dan Tell's hockey player is the cutest design in our studio. Jocelyn Tong's orange floral design is beautiful and becoming popular with our customers. Have a look at these beautiful works. https://www.communitylivingsociety.ca/ http://www.potteryworks.ca/
