Thank you, Nanaimo! đź’›

A big thank you to everyone who came out to support our 16th Annual Paper Shredding & Bottle Drive. We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by with documents, bottles, donations, and kind words.

Every dollar raised goes right back into supporting local Nanaimo charities and community initiatives and we couldn’t do it without the generosity of this community.

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one box and bottle at a time. 🧾♻️

What a day for community đź’›

Together, 115 volunteers came out to help clean up our streets, that's our biggest turnout yet, with 25 more people than ever before! From Rotarians to community members (and even visitors from Vancouver and Alberta!), it was incredible to see so many people show up and give their time.

In total, we collected an amazing 1000 kg (2,200 lbs) of waste, that’s roughly the weight of a Volkswagen Beetle… one piece at a time.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, especially those who came out for the first time. This is what community looks like.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Cheryl Anne Kelly from Nanaimo Search and Rescue to this week’s meeting.

Cheryl shared an inside look at the incredible work their team does to keep our community safe, from search operations to emergency response efforts across the region. We are grateful for the dedication, time, and care that goes into every call they answer.

Thank you, Cheryl, for an insightful and impactful presentation!
