For over 20 years, our clients have been making memories at Boundless, and this week they’re back for another unforgettable adventure.

Nestled in 600 acres of forests, rivers, and trails in the Ottawa Valley, Boundless creates opportunities for people to challenge themselves, build confidence, and connect with the outdoors. It’s a place where friendships grow, new skills are developed, and every day brings a new adventure.

As this year’s group settles in for a week of campfires, canoeing, karaoke, and a lot of laughs, we’re taking a look back at some favourite moments from last year’s excursion.

Recovery doesn’t always look the way people expect.
Sometimes it’s learning to speak again. Sometimes it’s finding the confidence to leave the house. Sometimes it’s simply getting through the day.

As Brain Injury Awareness Month comes to an end, we’re creating space for real people to share what life after an acquired brain injury looks like…the hard parts, the small wins, and the moments that remind us hope can grow in unexpected places.

If you want to better understand ABI or hear stories that stay with you long after they’re told, we’d love for you to join us this Thursday.

Most people with brain injury do not need another form to fill out. They need a system that knows where to send them.

on June 15, partners from across Peel, Halton, and Dufferin joined us to continue building the ABI care pathway. The conversation focused on practical ways to improve access, strengthen coordination, and make it easier for people with brain injury to connect with the support they need.

This work is rooted in partnership and a shared commitment to ensuring that no one falls through the cracks.

Thank you to Trillium Health Partners, Halton Healthcare, University Health Network, Hamilton Health Sciences, William Osler Health System, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, and co-host Judy Gargaro for helping move this important work forward.

🧠 Brain injuries can profoundly affect mental health, often worsening pre-existing conditions or triggering new psychiatric symptoms.

Individuals with brain injuries frequently experience issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health disorders.

A comprehensive treatment plan that addresses both physical and mental health is crucial for a holistic recovery.

If you asked Tracey’s coworkers to describe her using a movie character, they’d likely choose Mary Poppins.🌂She’s always prepared, always supportive, and always ready to help.

For over 25 years, Tracey has supported people with ABI, and created countless opportunities for connection, confidence, and community along the way. Her work reflects our core belief: that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.

We are so proud of Tracey and the compassion, dedication, and positivity that she brings to our organization each day.

🧠 D is for Dignity.

Dignity means being treated with respect, compassion, and fairness, no matter your abilities or challenges.

After an ABI, people may need support in new ways. That support should never come at the cost of autonomy, voice, or self-worth. Everyone deserves to be seen as a whole person, not defined by their injury.

When we lead with dignity, we create a space where people feel valued, heard, and empowered to move forward.

Dignity isn’t optional. It’s essential.
