When displacement takes away privacy and access to basic hygiene, everyday essentials become a form of protection.

RGW Dignity Kits provide women and girls with sanitary pads, soap, underwear, toothbrushes, sanitiser, and other personal-care items. RGW’s Gaza response has also included emergency, wound, maternal, child, and mental health care.

These needs may go unspoken, but they cannot go unmet.

Our food security work exists because education does not run on an empty stomach. From grocery programs in Turkiye to hot meals in Pakistan, our teams deliver consistent nutrition. We ensure her family is fed so she can focus on exams.

The story is changing, but the need has not disappeared. Families are still navigating displacement, unsafe water, and a health system under severe strain.

Our Palestine response has delivered food, water, blankets, dignity kits, medical supplies, and frontline healthcare support through trusted partners.

We will not turn one update into the whole story. We will share what we can verify, say what we cannot, and keep showing up where access allows.

It sounds ordinary. Until safety has been taken away.

RGW supports transitional housing for families rebuilding after earthquakes and conflict, while helping furnish homes for refugee widows raising children. A bed. A blanket. A kitchen. A place where the night can finally feel quiet.

Because a child cannot focus on homework while wondering where she will sleep.

Shelter is not separate from education. It is the steady ground beneath it.

Building TRUST. Creating HOPE. Strengthening COMMUNITY.

Project HOPE is a Toronto Police Service initiative dedicated to building positive relationships and mutual trust between newcomers to Canada and law enforcement.

Through education, outreach, and meaningful engagement, the program helps newcomers understand Canada's legal system, the role of police, and their rights and responsibilities — creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels informed, supported, and connected.

This holiday season, RGW is proud to serve as a community partner in support of Project HOPE, helping bring smiles to newcomer and refugee children and families across our city through the annual Holiday Toy Drive.

Toy donation details, collection dates, and drop-off locations will be announced soon.

A heartfelt thank you to and for your continued dedication to building bridges, strengthening communities, and making a lasting difference in the lives of newcomer families.

Together we can make this holiday season a little brighter — one toy, one smile, one act of kindness at a time.
