After a life-changing accident brought his riding days to an end, John thought that chapter of his life had closed.

Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime helped him experience the thrill once again with an unforgettable sidecar ride alongside fellow riders. It was a chance to reconnect with the motorcycle community, enjoy the freedom of the road, and revisit a passion that has stayed with him through the years.

Pendant des années, Émile a suivi de chez lui le sport qu’il aime tant. Cet été, cet homme de 98 ans de Lévis, au Québec, a pu vivre toute l’effervescence en personne en se rendant à New York avec sa fille pour assister à la finale masculine de l’US Open.

Avec la surprise de sièges au bord du terrain et une vue aux premières loges sur un match inoubliable, le voyage a dépassé toutes ses attentes.

For years, Émile followed the sport he loves from home. This summer, the 98-year-old from Lévis, Quebec, got to experience the excitement in person, travelling with his daughter to attend the US Open Men's Final in New York.

What better way to celebrate National Seniors Day than with some incredible news?

Together, we raised an amazing $170,000 through this year’s National Summer Fundraiser for Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime!

Today is about celebrating seniors and the experiences, stories, wisdom, and joy they bring to our lives. Helping make more of their lifelong wishes come true is one way we’re proud to honour them.

A heartfelt thank you to every residence, senior, family member, donor, and community supporter who participated. Your creativity, generosity, and enthusiasm made this incredible result possible.

A weekend to remember!

Marion travelled from Thunder Bay to Toronto with her daughter Maureen to cheer on the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Even better, her other two children joined them in Toronto, turning her wish into a special family weekend.

With all three of her children by her side, Marion took in the excitement of a Jays game and made some wonderful new memories along the way.

On World Alzheimer’s Day, we’re looking back at Angie’s special wish, one that brought joy while shining a light on a cause close to her heart.

After experiencing a stroke, Angie wrote an original play inspired by her own journey and the experiences of those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Her wish was to see her words brought to life on stage, and surrounded by loved ones and members of her community, that dream became a reality.

Today, we celebrate Angie and everyone whose lives have been touched by Alzheimer’s. Her story is a powerful reminder of the importance of raising awareness, sharing our experiences, and creating meaningful moments at every age.

Another week, another round of creative fundraising for Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie

Our communities have been busy hosting car shows, bake sales, a lemonade stand, a casino event, and even a walker wash, all to help grant more meaningful wishes for seniors across Canada.

Three communities, one incredible night, and $14,000 raised for wishes!

Chartwell Oak Park Terrace, Chartwell Oak Park LaSalle, and Chartwell St. Clair Beach joined forces for an incredible Pasta Fundraiser in support of Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie, raising $14,000 to help make meaningful wishes come true for seniors across Canada.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, and helped make the evening such a success. What an amazing show of community spirit and generosity!

Happy Friendship Day!

Some of life's greatest wishes are the ones we get to share.

As she approached her 100th birthday, Marie's greatest wish wasn't an adventure or a trip. She simply wanted to enjoy a special lunch with her three closest friends. Together, they spent the afternoon sharing great food, laughter, and the company of the people who had been by her side through the years.

Today, we're celebrating the friendships that bring comfort, joy, and connection at every stage of life.

À l’approche de son 100e anniversaire, le plus grand rêve de Marie ne consistait ni en une aventure ni en un voyage : elle souhaitait simplement profiter d’un repas somptueux en compagnie de ses trois meilleures amies. Ensemble, elles ont passé un après-midi formidable à savourer un délicieux repas ponctué de rires et de moments de complicité.
