UPDATE ON VENEZUELA: July 2, 2026
The death toll is rising. 2,295 people have died, representing an 18% increase compared to yesterday (Jul 1st). A total of 11,267 people have been injured (a 65% increase compared to yesterday). Hospitals and medical centres are operating at full capacity, with 12,841 people affected, including families who are homeless or living in temporary shelters. Emergency response teams have rescued 6,461 people alive.
HOW WORLD VISION HAS RESPONDED:
• In Central Caracas (Plaza La Moneda), 800 people (200 households) were assisted through food distributions, as well as two Mobile Child-Friendly Spaces and Psychological First Aid (PFA) services, reaching 100 participating children and adolescents.
• In Guarenas (Miranda State), 165 people (33 households)received assistance through the distribution of 66 emergency kits (33 food kits and 33 hygiene kits).
• To date, a total of 7,580 people have been reached through assistance provided to 1,516 households. This assistance includes:
• 683 households (3,415 people) reached with Food Baskets
• 683 households (3,415 people) reached with Hygiene Kits
• 150 households (750 people) reached with Complementary Kits
