Families can be biological, chosen, blended, foster, adoptive, cultural, or community-based. What matters most is connection, support, and the relationships that help people feel safe, seen, and cared for.

At Fraser House, we know healing happens in relationships, and strong communities are built through compassion, encouragement, and belonging.

Mother’s Day can bring many emotions; joy, exhaustion, grief, gratitude, pressure, love, or all of them at once.

Today, we want to recognize the many forms caregiving can take. To the people showing up every day with patience, support, strength, and love: thank you.

And if this weekend feels hard, complicated, or heavy, you are not alone in that either. 💚

Be gentle with yourself this weekend.

🌿 Friday Feels 🌿

Being young can feel heavy sometimes.
There’s pressure to fit in, keep up, look okay, stay strong, get good grades, answer texts, make plans, and somehow still figure out who you are.

But mental health doesn’t always look obvious.
Sometimes it looks like:

* shutting down
* getting angry easily
* being “fine” all the time
* isolating
* joking about everything
* feeling exhausted for no clear reason

To any young person carrying a lot right now:
You do not have to have everything figured out.
You are allowed to ask for help.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to talk about what’s hard.

And to the adults in a young person’s life:
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is listen without trying to immediately fix.

💚 Your feelings matter.
💚 Your story matters.
💚 Support is available.
