ANOTHER ONE DUMPED IN THE COUNTRY!!! BUBBLES IS HEAVILY PREGNANT AND ABANDONED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWEHERE ON A LONELY STRETCH OF ROAD!!!! I guess no one heard me when I asked people to stop dumping cats 🫩 We were not expecting more intakes just yet...but we got them anyway!😵‍💫

While we were on our intake freeze, in walks a young man with this little girl. Our ferret nations are full. Our spare rooms are all full. Our fosters are full. We had no space to put her, but we found a way. We always find a way for these poor cats who rely on us when there is no one else.

Bubbles came home with me that night. A ferret nation cage was divided in two and so she had her safe iso space, however this little lady simply was not happy at all about being confined. She screams her head off day and night. Sleep has been a challenge this past week to say the least. She has been dewormed and her poops are healthy. The last couple days she has been allowed out to roam and she is an absolute doll with my cats here at home..

THEN this happened. Last night I came home late from work to discover mama bloody and thin. OMG SHE HAD HER BABIES!!!!!! Then came the hunt for the littles not knowing if they were dead or alive. I found them pretty quickly in the bottom cubby hole of a cat tree! Four wiggle little worms and one exhausted mama are safe and sound!

Mama Bubbles, we are sorry you had to endure this. We are sorry you were allowed to become pregnant then abandoned. Your sh*tty owners didn't have enough common sense to spay you or the decency to re-home you when they could no longer keep you. They dumped you like a piece of trash.🤬

You're safe now little girl! 😻Welcome to rescue. This littler is likely your first and it will 100% BE YOUR LAST!!

Mama cats need to be supplemented with extra calories to keep with with milk production so they are able to feed their babies! We now have 3 mama cats in care with babies. ALL DUMPED!!!

Canned food is currently at an all time low. If anyone has some wet food to donate we'd certainly appreciate it! Maybe you see some on sale and want to help by grabbing an extra case for hungry mamas like Bubbles. Maybe you have food your cat doesn't like. If you are far away you can send us some through amazon or e-transfer to [email protected] so we can purrrrchase some canned food and replenish our shelves!~ Please share. Thanks friends😽

GARY's VET BILL IS COVERED!! We want to thank EACH and EVERYONE of you!! You all are AMAZING! 😽

We have actually overshot Gary's bill and Gary brought in $117 MORE than was left owing!! Rest assured these extra funds will be going toward our ever growing vet bill!

Right after announcing the intake freeze we had a heavily pregnant girl brought to me here at the shop - unannounced. We made space...space we didn't have.🥺

Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who pulled together to help Gary! We would not be able to do this without our cat loving community. We are so grateful to each and every one of you who donated toward his care so that we are able to continue our life saving work helping cats in need 😽 Gary sends his Love 🥰💓

Gary has moved into his offical roll as our new office manager, just in time for me to retire!! 😹

He is pretty demanding and his salary is quite high as he attempts to stay on top of his newly developed catnip habit😹

In all seriouslness though, we have good news!! Thanks to our cat loving community coming together for this big chonk, we have raised $1,875 & only have $383 left to go!~😺

Gary is a sweet affectionate boy. He is eating well and his bathroom habits are on track 100% !! Gary thanks you for helping him. YOU SAVED HIS LIFE!!!!

Just $383 left to pay on Gary's vet bill so we can take off the intake freeze and "open our doors" again. Can you help? No amount is too small! Tax receipts issued (note in memo) for amounts $25 or greater.

WE ARE SEEKING COMPETENT , CAPEABLE, DRIVEN PEOPLE WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEND THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO HELP OUR RESCUE KITTIES!

WE HAVE A FEW VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN AND ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS TO ADD TO OUR TEAM.

1.) Spreadsheet creator. This is mainly for our auctions. The spreadsheet details item numbers, amounts and winners in alphabetical order. This can be, and always has been done remotely. This position is approximately once a month/1.5 months (depending on auctions)

2.) Data entry. This mainly entails our microchips and needs to be done only 1-2x a month. This is best done at Birds of Paradise but can be done remotely.

3.) Computer savy tech person to handle some of the on line challenges that us NON computer savy people face every day!🫠

4.) Daily cat care includes daily scooping, wiping out cages, feeding and changing water. Light cleaning duties such as sweeping, taking out garbages etc The cats have requested that this position also includes kitty cuddles and play time😻

Spreading duties and resposibilities out over several people makes burn out of our already small team less likely. Please PM the page or give us a call 306-921-1400 to inquire or learn more.

Many hands make light work! Help us continue helping the cats. THEY NEED US!!!😽

UPDATE ON GARY!! He is having some free roam time today in the shop and is quite happy about that! 🥰He likes looking out the window!~🥰

We know you see the value in Gary's life. He is a sweet boy and we are so thankful to be able to give him this second chance to LIVE the life he is meant to have! It's a huge burden for our little rescue to carry. Thank you for helping us help him. THANK YOU!!!
