Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to listen, learn, reflect and remember.

We honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the generations who continue to carry the impacts of these systems.

Reconciliation begins with truth. It begins with listening to Indigenous voices, learning the history of this land, and recognizing the role each of us can play in creating a more understanding and inclusive future.

We’re honored and so grateful to give recognition to our Title sponsors Ripley Ford and the Malcom Jenkins Family Foundation for their generous donation of $20,000 to help support the continuation of our 2026/2027 youth and community programs.

Their title sponsorship supports multiple programs and initiatives including:

💚 Our 6th annual ‘Be Kind to Your Mind’ youth mental health symposium supporting 300 youth
💚 Our 2nd annual ‘Lead the Way’ youth leadership summit hosting 150 youth
💚 Our weekly local Moms & Minis Connect program that has supported over 50 local families
💚 Our ‘Be Kind to Your Mind’ school presentation program that reaches thousands of youth across the province

Candle Lake Fun Run for mental health 🧠❤️ it was a pleasure to host a booth there today and have so many heart to heart conversations and new connections.

Congratulations to Joely, Brent and team for a phenomenal event with over 500 participants that brought all the energy, team spirit, and passion for supporting mental health! We even got to see some familiar faces ☺️ If you get a chance to attend next year, we say, ‘DO IT!’

We’d like to thank the families, volunteers, and community members who came out today to support our inaugural ‘Light the Way’ walk for hope and su***de awareness.

Today, we remembered the light in the lives lost.

Today, we reminded one another that we are not alone. We came together in support of those who’ve struggled, and those who continue to struggle.

Words can’t describe the sense of community and connection that was experienced today. It brought healing and hope to many.

Thank you to the families who shared the light of their loved ones with us, Hunter Nelson, Cameron Ethier and Ruby Powder, so we could remember their names and the life they lived.

Thank you to our partners, the The Hunter Nelson Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Tisdale Su***de Awareness Committee for their tireless effort to advocate and support families and individuals. Thank you to Wild Moon Studio & Photography for capturing photos. We so appreciate all the people who helped where help was needed.

A big thank you to Ripley Ford for showing up in big ways again with their pledge as a title sponsor for our 2026/2027 programs.

This is our inaugural walk and we will absolutely be hosting another one next year. 💜🩵
