講員｜方偉晶教授 Prof. Eric Fong
香港大學社會科學學院副院長及社會學講座教授

方教授多年來研究全球青年發展與社會轉變，長期關注新時代下年輕人的升學路向、身份認同與未來競爭力。

面對 AI 迅速改變教育與就業市場的今天，方教授將以國際視野及前線研究，引導家長重新審視：

•⁠ ⁠未來世界真正看重的是哪些能力？
•⁠ ⁠大學及升學制度正經歷哪些轉變？
•⁠ ⁠年輕人面對的迷惘與壓力，折射出哪些時代轉變？
•⁠ ⁠家長可如何支持子女面對未來？

同場亦邀請：
Ms. Carol Liang
從事科技業逾三十年，同時也是一位Grade 11 學生的母親，將從家長與業界角度，分享 AI 如何影響升學與職業發展。

這不單是一場 AI 講座，更是一次探討未來世界與下一代方向的深度交流。

“Maybe the dark corner was the only place I belonged.”

When Nick came to Canada, the thing he loved most — theatre — suddenly became the place he felt invisible.

He could barely follow classes in English.
While others stood under the spotlight,
he hid behind the sound booth pressing audio cues.

But instead of giving up,
Nick chose to build his own stage.

He began helping create spaces where people from different languagesand backgrounds could laugh, cry, and feel connected together.

What inspires us is not perfection or achievement.

It is the courage to keep showing up,
keep creating,
and keep building bridges —
even when you once felt you did not belong.

The Across U-Can Youth Awards exists to recognize not only achievement — but resilience, courage, growth, and quiet impact. We invite teachers, professors, parents, mentors, counselors, pastors, church leaders, and community leaders to help nominate a youth whose story deserves to be seen.

Sometimes being truly seen can change a young person’s life.

Ready to put down roots in our city? 🌱

Join Across U-hub on Saturday, May 30, for a day of environmental action and community care at Phyllis Rawlinson Park! This isn't just about planting trees—it's about developing a sense of belonging and connecting with the nature that surrounds us.

What we’ll be doing:
🌳 Stewardship: Planting, mulching, and watering 100+ trees and shrubs.
🥾 Exploration: A guided nature hike to discover local habitats.
✨ Community Care: Keeping our park beautiful with local litter removal.

Let’s celebrate the beauty of spring by making a practical impact together!
