Nexus Church We are the inconvenient church. Exploring faith in fresh ways.

Join us this morning for our season finale!

We'll be celebrating another great season together, taking a few minutes to honour our huge group of volunteers (including a treat at the end of the service).

Brad will wrap up the season with a message called Windows to the Wind, exploring a question many of us quietly carry:

When was the last time we experienced God?

What if God's presence is far more common than we imagine, but quieter than we expect? It's a beautiful invitation into the summer to open the windows, make room, and pay attention.

Hope to see you there!

Tomorrow is our Season Finale, and it's going to be a great morning!

Every year our final Sunday has a different feel. It's a chance to celebrate another season together, look back and simply enjoy being the community that Nexus has become.

One of the highlights tomorrow will be taking some time during the service to celebrate the huge group of volunteers who make Nexus possible.

After the service, volunteers are invited to the coffee window for a homemade treat. Have you ever had a "brookie"? A brownie mixed with a cookie? You're going to want to...

We hope you'll join us for a special morning as we wrap up another season together.

A huge thanks to our 7 guest speakers from this past Sunday: Chris Brnjas, Matt Adams, Tom Friesen, Jim Cianca, Ron DeRuyter, Jackie Hoekstra and Susan Murphy.

For those of you who weren't with us, we took a moment to look back over the Anthropology series and, along the way, heard stories, pushback and reflections from people for whom the series sparked a reaction. You can listen in here: https://nexuscentrekw.podbean.com/e/into-the-looking-glass-anthropology-s16-episode39/

It was a beautiful morning. We hope you enjoy!

Good morning Nexus!

Every once in a while, we have what we call a Looking Glass Sunday. A chance to stop and take a deeper look at ourselves.
The Anthropology series seemed to strike a chord. It sparked conversations, questions, disagreements, insights, and more than a few stories. So rather than simply moving on, we're taking a moment to hear from the people.

Join me (Sarah) as I guide us back through the series and revisit some of its biggest ideas. Along the way, we'll hear reflections from seven different Nexus folks whose own stories, questions, experiences, and disagreements were stirred up by the series.

We've got a big band this morning who will also be bringing back 3 of our favourite songs from the series!

Whether you heard every sermon, missed a few, or are joining us for the first time, I think you'll find something worth reflecting on.

We hope to see you this morning at 10AM at St. Andrew's!

Join us this morning Nexus!

The end of our season is fast approaching, and this Sunday serves as a kind of epilogue to our Anthropology series.

Brad will tell the powerful story behind one of J.M.W. Turner’s most haunting paintings, a story that invites us to wrestle with a challenging question: What are human beings, really?

Together we'll explore how easily people can be reduced to labels and categories, and why the Jesus Path claim that every person bears the image of God remains so disruptive and hopeful. As we close this series, we'll consider what it means to honestly face who we are while trusting that the first word over humanity is image and the final word is grace.

10:00 AM at St. Andrew's Church
It's also Soup Sunday, so remember to bring your own bowl and spoon. We'll be sharing Eucharist together with our kids as part of the gathering.

We'd love to see you there.

Nexus,

Join us this morning at 10am at St. Andrew’s as we celebrate Pentecost and explore the Holy Spirit as both comforter and disruptor, Dove and Wild Goose.

Together we’ll reflect on Acts 2, the idea of Original Blessing, and how the Spirit still moves in and through our lives today.

Whether you’re looking for community, space to reflect, great music, or a good cup of coffee, we’d love to have you with us for The Spirit in Us - A Wild Goose Chase?

Good morning Nexus,

This Sunday we wrap up our Anthropology series by asking: what happens when anthropology meets faith?

What if the goal of the Jesus Path is not to become someone who needs less grace, but someone less afraid of needing it?

Join us this morning at 10am at St. Andrew’s as we close the series with:

“A Welcome for the Weary.”

Good morning Nexus!

Join us today at 10am at St. Andrew's Church as we continue our Anthropology series with Politics Without Salvation.

In a polarized age, politics can quietly shape not just our opinions, but how we see other people. This morning, we’ll explore what the Jesus Path might offer instead, a way of seeking truth and justice without letting contempt have the final word.
