"POWERED BY PADDLES, DRIVEN BY TEAMWORK"

Our coaches put it best: these words capture the exact essence of who we are—a club strengthened by individual effort, united by collective purpose, and grounded in the belief that we are always stronger together. It’s a message our amazing coaches crafted, and as a club, we fully stand by every single word of it.

Looking back on our incredible 2026 season, teamwork was truly demonstrated every step of the way. From cold-water practices and community events to high-energy race days and team celebrations, our paddlers showed up with passion, dedication, and unity both on and off the water.

While our boats may be resting for the winter, prep is already well underway for the 2027 season! We are working hard behind the scenes to make next year our best season yet.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 on-water season!

All of our boats are officially stored away for the winter. As the colder weather arrives, we are looking back on a remarkable year filled with unforgettable moments—including celebrating our very first full season at our Holland River location.

Last week, we held our final practices in Keswick and Holland Landing, bringing a wonderful season of teamwork and fun to a close. Reflecting on the highlights of 2026, we are proud of everything our club accomplished together. From competing at Port Perry, Barrie, and Christie Lake Dragon Boat Festivals, to giving back through our first Fill-a-Dragon-Boat Food Drive and the Maskinongé River Clean-Up. We honored our traditions with the seasonal Awakening Ceremony, brought energy to the water during our annual Glow-in-the-Dark Paddle, and completed an impressive 17 km journey from Keswick to our Holland River site.

This incredible season would not have been possible without our amazing community. We extend our gratitude to all of our recreational and leisure paddlers for their continuous enthusiasm, as well as the guest paddlers, local businesses, and community groups who joined us for team-building events throughout the year.

Special recognition goes to our dedicated coaches Faye and Justin. Over Thanksgiving weekend, they spent countless hours preparing our fleet for the winter months. Thanks to their tireless efforts, Legacy is safely stored, and Bemise Adjidamo and Spirit of the Lake are resting side-by-side after two winters apart. We are also grateful to our coaches for repairing Spirit of the Lake after early-season damage and returning her safely to the water.

Thank you all for an exceptional 2026 season. We wish everyone a restful off-season and look forward to welcoming you back to the water next spring!

As our season begins to wind down, we’re reflecting on some incredible moments on the water from the past few weeks!

​We had an amazing time competing at the Christie Lake Dragon Boat Festival and hosting our annual Glow-in-the-Dark Witches Paddle. The energy and spirit shown by our paddlers made both events truly unforgettable.

​While the season is nearly over, we aren't done yet—we’re still enjoying every moment on the water and making the most of these remaining weeks!

Yesterday, we held our 5th Annual Maskinonge River Clean Up!

Our volunteers spent the day helping keep the river and surrounding area clean. Together, we collected multiple bags of garbage, several boat bumpers, a few buckets, and so much more!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make a difference. We truly appreciate your time, effort, and continued support of our community and the Maskinonge River!

After last night's heavy rainfall our coaches had a very early start this morning rescuing all of our four boats.

When they arrived at Bemise Ajidamoo and Spirit of the Lake in Keswick, the water inside the boats was up to the seats. After more than three hours of bailing water and making multiple trips between Keswick and Holland Landing, we're happy to say that every boat has been emptied and is safe!

A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches for putting in the hard work to protect our fleet. Your commitment to the club never goes unnoticed!

Last week, Spirit of the Lake was reunited with Bemise Ajidamoo on the Maskinonge River.

After weeks of hard work and restoration, crews are already back on the water in Spirit of the Lake, and the boat is looking better than ever. Here's to many more paddles, practices, and memories on the water!

Repairs are nearly complete, and we're planning to put Spirit of the Lake back in the water this week!

Over the past two weeks, our coaches have dedicated countless hours to repairing the damage, including extensive fiberglass, epoxy, and other restoration work to get Spirit of the Lake on the once again.

We'd like to thank everyone for the incredible support we've received throughout this process. While the repairs are nearing completion, you can still help by donating toward the repair costs. Every contribution makes a difference and helps ensure Spirit of the Lake continues to serve our team for years to come.
