After last night's heavy rainfall our coaches had a very early start this morning rescuing all of our four boats.

When they arrived at Bemise Ajidamoo and Spirit of the Lake in Keswick, the water inside the boats was up to the seats. After more than three hours of bailing water and making multiple trips between Keswick and Holland Landing, we're happy to say that every boat has been emptied and is safe!

A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches for putting in the hard work to protect our fleet. Your commitment to the club never goes unnoticed!

Last week, Spirit of the Lake was reunited with Bemise Ajidamoo on the Maskinonge River.

After weeks of hard work and restoration, crews are already back on the water in Spirit of the Lake, and the boat is looking better than ever. Here's to many more paddles, practices, and memories on the water!

Repairs are nearly complete, and we're planning to put Spirit of the Lake back in the water this week!

Over the past two weeks, our coaches have dedicated countless hours to repairing the damage, including extensive fiberglass, epoxy, and other restoration work to get Spirit of the Lake on the once again.

We'd like to thank everyone for the incredible support we've received throughout this process. While the repairs are nearing completion, you can still help by donating toward the repair costs. Every contribution makes a difference and helps ensure Spirit of the Lake continues to serve our team for years to come.

Registration is officially open for our Leisure Programs in both Keswick and Holland Landing! Each program offers an engaging way to get active, connect with others, and experience the sport of dragon boating.

We are excited to announce brand-new Blocks 3 and 4 in Keswick! We provide all the necessary equipment - no prior experience is needed!

Last Friday, we held our Awakening Ceremony, where we celebrated new traditions and shared accomplishments as we begin our first full season in Holland Landing.

A special thank you to Mei Lan, a former member of our club, for once again joining us to lead our Awakening Ceremony and continue this special tradition.

We are also thankful to those who have chosen to donate to help repair Spirit of the Lake. An update on that situation will be posted soon.

We also want to express our deep gratitude to our executive team for all of their hard work in making the ceremony possible. We’re excited for everything this season has ahead as we continue growing this new chapter for our club.

Despite the unfortunate news surrounding Spirit of the Lake, our team is choosing to focus on some positive moments. Tonight, we officially took Spirit of the Lake out of the water so we can begin properly assessing the damage. This past Saturday, two of our teams competed at the Port Perry Dragon Boat Festival and put in some amazing performances.

Simcoe Flyers (Mixed) — 1st Place, Mixed C Division
Damsel Flyers (Women) — 4th Place, Women’s B Division

It has been a challenging week for our team, but also a reminder of the resilience and dedication within our paddling community. We are still accepting donations to help repair Spirit of the Lake, as we are expecting significant repair costs. Now that the boat is out of the water, we can better inspect the full extent of the damage and begin planning what it will take to get her back where she belongs.
