Last weekend, our Lions Club was proud to volunteer at the registration table for the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s at the Tournament Capital Centre in Kamloops. 💜

It was inspiring to see so many people come together in support of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. This year’s event also honoured local families impacted by the disease, including Ken Ezzard and his wife Marilyn, helping bring awareness to the importance of community support and dementia care.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and donated to this important cause.

What a fantastic sunny day at the 40th Annual Blackwell Dairy Run in Barnhartvale! ☀️🏃🥞

Our Lions Club was proud to provide a pancake breakfast for the runners and volunteers. With participants coming from many different places, it was wonderful to be part of such a well-loved event organized by the Kamloops Ridge Runners.

Last night, our Lions Club had the pleasure of welcoming Leslie from the Kamloops Cancer Supportive Care Society as our guest speaker. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the incredible work this organization is doing to support individuals and families affected by cancer in our community.

The society was created to help fill important gaps in cancer supportive care and has been advocating for increased access to services such as counselling, nutrition support, exercise therapy, patient navigation, emotional support, and wellness programs for cancer patients and caregivers in Kamloops and the surrounding area. Their collaboration with InspireHealth Supportive Cancer Care has helped bring free supportive cancer care programs closer to home for our community.

We encourage everyone to learn more about the important work they are doing and help spread awareness for this amazing organization. 💛

We also enjoyed a lovely dinner together and celebrated Cheryl’s and Georgie’s birthdays. 🎉

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a meaningful and enjoyable evening! 🦁

Stories like Krystian’s remind us why supporting Easter Seals Camps matters so much. 💙

Through Easter Seals BC/Yukon, children and adults with disabilities are given opportunities to build confidence, independence, friendships, and lifelong memories in a safe and inclusive camp environment.

Lions Clubs across BC and the Yukon have proudly supported Easter Seals for decades through fundraising, volunteering, and community partnerships. We are honoured to be part of helping make these life-changing experiences possible for campers and their families.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support programs that create confidence, connection, and opportunity for people of all abilities. 🦁

Because of you, we have some amazing stories to tell about our children, youth, adults and their families and how they’ve championed.

Some of our club members attended the MD19 District 19-I Lions Convention this weekend in West Kelowna, BC.

We were proud to support this year’s convention, “Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things,” with our club helping take care of the raffle.

We hope everyone had a wonderful convention filled with fellowship, inspiration, and service as Lions came together to make a difference in our communities. 🦁💙

We are proud to recognize Christina, who was officially inducted as a new member of our Lions Club in 2025! 🎉🦁

Christina brings many years of dedicated service and leadership experience, having joined Leo Club in 2009. Over the years, she has held several positions including Club Secretary, Club President, Past President, District Vice President, District Commissioner MERLO, and Multiple District Secretary in Germany.

From Christina:

“Becoming part of Lions International through Leo Clubs truly shaped my life and helped make me the person I am today. I honestly would not be where I am today without Lions International.

Leo & Lions Clubs are incredible pathways for young people. It is not only about helping others—it is also about personal growth through Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity.

Beyond that, it is about becoming part of a global family. Through Leo Club, I met so many wonderful people and created unforgettable memories while attending events and meetings all across Germany.

The friendships, experiences, and lessons I gained will always stay with me. I can wholeheartedly recommend becoming part of this amazing community.” 💙💛

Her passion for service, leadership, marketing, and community involvement makes her a wonderful addition to our Lions family. We are excited to have her continue her journey of giving back through Lionism.

If you are interested in learning more about Leo Clubs or Lions Clubs and how you can get involved, please feel free to contact us. We would love to connect with you! 🦁

April 21, 2026 💚🌍

It was a full and meaningful day for the Lions Club!

The morning started with an Adopt-a-Road cleanup along Rue Chex Nous in Westsyde, just ahead of Earth Day—a great way to give back and help keep the community beautiful. 🌱 A big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to make it a success!

In the evening, we gathered for our Lions dinner meeting. A special thank you to guest Zone Chair Kim Jensen for attending, and to everyone who contributed to the delicious food!

A lovely highlight of the day was celebrating Christina with a birthday cake. 🎂

On April 19, 2026, we were proud to support our community by hosting the BBQ at Clean The Beach Day in Kamloops—and what a perfect way to celebrate Earth Day today! 🌿🌎☀️

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help keep our beautiful shoreline clean—and to all the volunteers who made this event such a success. It’s always inspiring to see our community come together for a great cause.

We were happy to keep everyone fueled with some well-deserved BBQ after all that hard work! 🌭👏

Happy Earth Day! Together, we’re making a difference—one clean-up at a time. 💛
