Kamloops Regional Kennel Club We're bringing dog shows, sports, training and clinics back to Kamloops! You don't have to own a purebred dog to join us. Holding a dog-friendly event?

We are a group of dedicated dog sport enthusiasts working to give dog lovers access to information, advice, and an opportunity to hang out with others who are passionate about their canine companions. You don't have to own a purebred dog (or any dog) to join in an array of fun and informational events for Kamloops dog lovers. We also want to know about any

other dog focussed events happening in the region! If you have a dog-friendly event you'd like to post, PM us and we will post it for you here!

Want to join us? Club annual membership fees are $20 for an individual and $35 for a family. To become a KRKC member us, you can fill out a MEMBERSHIP FORM here: https://forms.gle/gqoqnXigRqkNWS1i8

Club Membership will make you eligible for training discounts with K9 Fun N Games, as well as on club events such as:
- health clinics
- training sessions
- sanction matches
- fun matches
- and more! Membership will also give you a seat at the table as we broaden our scope and work towards bringing dog shows and sporting trials back to Kamloops. Once you complete your application, you will receive an email from the Club Secretary to advise that your membership is under review. All new members must be approved at two regular meetings. Once that is accomplished, you will be sent a link to our private FB page that we use to communicate about upcoming events and meetings. We look forward to meeting you and your dogs!

Interested in trying your dog's skills out in our Fetch Trial on July 2 and want to know more? Here are some details about what to expect to qualify for a Novice Fetch title:

Your dog must pass three single retrieves under two different judges. The test is non-competitive and open to all breeds and mixed-breeds over six months old. (To be eligible for a title, dogs not registered with the CKC can apply for a Canine Companion number.)

Distance: The tennis ball, bumper, or toy must be thrown approximately 30 feet.
Distractions: The course includes 4 stationary distraction boxes and may feature one "fun" distraction (e.g., lawn chair or ornament).
The Retrieve: The dog must complete three "single" retrieves: one thrown to the left, one to the centre, and one to the right.
The Rules: Handlers may hold the collar at the start line and dogs must see the throw before they are sent.

SAVE THE DATE: pending CKC approval, KRKC will be hosting a FETCH Trial on July 2, 2026 in McClure.

What is Fetch? It is a fun event open to all dogs that enjoy the challenge of retrieving. Most people play ball with their dogs and FETCH allows you and your dog to earn titles with these skills.

FETCH is a pass-fail noncompetitive sport where dogs can earn the Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Retriever Titles. Titles are awarded based on the dog acquiring 2 qualifying scores under 2 different judges.

Mixed-breeds are welcome and encouraged to compete. To be eligible for a title, be sure to register for a competition number with CKC.
