When the summer gets hot and smokey and we can't have our friends from Sudbury here for the week, we still make the best out of it and go find a way to cool down at Adams River Rafting!

🌍 From Kamloops to Iceland! 🇮🇸🏕️

This week, members of 1st Kamloops Scouting Group have joined the Canadian Contingent at the 2026 Icelandic Jamboree!

Over the coming days, they'll be joining Scouts from around the world to experience Icelandic culture, take part in exciting outdoor adventures, develop new skills, and build friendships that span continents. International Jamborees are a unique opportunity for youth to embrace the global spirit of Scouting while representing both Canada and our community on the world stage.

We wish our members an incredible adventure and look forward to hearing all about their experiences when they return home. Safe travels, and have an amazing time in Iceland!

🌍✈️ Scouting Across Canada! 🏕️

At the beginning of the month, Scouts from 1st Kamloops Scouting Group travelled across the country to Sudbury, Ontario as part of our Scouting Exchange Program.

During their visit, our Scouts had the opportunity to camp, explore the Sudbury area, and build lasting friendships while spending time with a local Scouting group. Experiences like these allow youth to discover new places, learn about different communities, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The exchange isn't over yet—we're excited to return the hospitality when our friends from Sudbury travel to Kamloops later this August! We can't wait to show them everything our community has to offer and continue the friendships that have already begun.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this exchange possible. Stay tuned for more photos and updates from this incredible adventure!
