Missed registration the first time? Here’s your chance! 🙌

Registration is now open for U7, U9, U18, and Female-Only Field Lacrosse through September 4!

⚠️ All other age groups are currently waitlisted. If you’d like to be added to the waitlist, email [email protected].

📣 Bylaw Update & Call for Nominations 📣

Following the vote on December 30th, all bylaw amendments were approved. As a result, we are expanding our Board to 11 elected voting members for the 2026 season!

We are now seeking nominations for the following one-year term positions:
• Head Referee
• Scheduler
• Tournament Coordinator
• Indigenous Liaison
• Head Coach

📍 Kamloops Sports Council – 1550 Island Pkwy, Unit 101

The voting rights bylaw was passed and will be reviewed further by the new Board, with a revised version shared with members for feedback prior to a future vote.

🐍 Kamloops Rattlers Tournament Committee – Volunteers Needed! 🐍

The Kamloops Rattlers Tournament Committee is looking for new volunteers to help organize and support our upcoming tournaments this spring!

📅 Tournament Dates Secured:
• April 24–26, 2026
• May 1–3, 2026

We have secured three floors each weekend, giving us the capacity to host U13, U15, and U17 divisions. To make this possible—especially at the U13 level—we need a few extra helping hands with coordination and communication for visiting teams.

✨ This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning the tournament coordinator role, with potential to step into leadership in future seasons.

📍 First Planning Meeting:
🗓 Thursday, January 15
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Columbia Street Diner

Meetings are typically held every two weeks (about 1.5 hours), and tasks vary—from organizing hotels and donations to swag bags, 50/50s, medals, referees, and team communications.

These tournaments are busy but incredibly fun and rewarding weekends, and volunteer support—especially for U13—is key to keeping our tournaments strong and sustainable.

This is a reminder that we will be holding a Zoom vote tomorrow, December 30, 2025, at 7:00 PM.

The vote will cover proposed amendments to our current bylaws and is open to all members in good standing.

📝 Bylaw Motions Being Put Forward

Board Composition & Voting Members
• Membership to elect 11 voting members to the Board in specified positions per updated bylaws.

Amendment to Bylaw 4.1 – Number of Directors
• The Society will have no fewer than 3 and no more than 11 directors.

Amendment to Bylaw 6.1 – Board Positions
Updated Board positions include:
President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, Head Referee, Scheduler, Tournament Coordinator, Indigenous Liaison, Head Coach.

Amendment to Bylaw 6.2 – Directors at Large
• Directors elected without a defined role will serve as Directors at Large until formal descriptions are added.

Addition of Bylaw 2.7 – Membership Voting Rights
• Each minor member is represented by one parent or legal guardian
• An adult may cast only one vote, regardless of how many children are registered
• Each Board member is entitled to one vote, subject to the same limitations

• November 28, 2025: Notice sent to members
• 30-day review period: Questions submitted
• December 30: Zoom vote
• January 29: In-person elections (if approved)
